Chapter 12 Godric

3225 Words
My uncle arrived a few minutes ago and asked to talk to both myself and Selaria, I had to tell him that she was visiting Elder Zarconian and that she was waiting to see Ezera, but now that she is on her way back to her room.   “I need to you come here as soon as you get to your room.” I say through our link and then remember the protection that is on this place. “Do you think you will be able to come straight to me or will you only be able to go to the entrance of the apartment building?” I ask hoping that she will be able to come straight here.   “I’ll see, it might just push me to the entrance of the apartment building.” I hear her say. She doesn’t sound happy, but neither would I if I had just seen Ezera.   A few minutes after she got to her room she appears right in front of me in my bedroom.   “So you called.” She says sitting on my bed.   “Yeah we are going to have a meeting soon.” I say pulling her closer to me.   “What’s it about?” She asks pushing my shirt up so she can run her hands over my chest.   “Not sure, my Uncle asked if you would join us.” I say pulling my shirt over my head so she has more access.   “What do you mean you don’t know?” She asks leaning her head on my chest and running her fingers up and down my torso.   I sigh and push aside a stray piece of hair behind her ear. “That’s just what I mean, I don’t know, my uncle asked me to get you here and he would tell me the rest when you got here.”   Looking into her eyes and pushing her onto her back. I don’t take my eyes off hers while I unbutton her shirt. “So does anyone have any ideas on how we are going to find the traitor?” She asks trying to manoeuvre herself so I can take her shirt off.   “No not yet. You got some?” I ask gazing hungrily at her shirtless body.   We barely begun when there is a knock on the door. “Hey Godric your uncle wants to know if Selaria has turned up yet.” Derek yells through the door.   I’m not happy to be interrupted, since this is the only real time that we have had together.   We both get off the bed and I throw her shirt at her and walk out of the room so my Uncle won’t enter while she is getting her shirt back on.   I walk out and see Hank, Jaxson and Elliot standing beside my Uncle, all of them looking worried.   “What’s going on?” I ask confused by the look on their faces.   “Godric, with the information that you got from Selaria we went to go get your mother, but she has already been taken.” My Uncle says sounding a little hesitant.   I don’t understand, Elder Zarconian looked upset, mad even when he looked at the screen.   “No that can’t be possible.” I say not wanting to believe that it could be possible.   “I’m sorry, and don’t worry we will get her back.” My Uncle says walking over and putting his hand on my shoulder.   That was not what I wanted, what I want is to have my mother here safe. I don’t understand how this could have happened, everything is moving faster than I can have imagine or can get a handle on.   “That can’t be possible.” I say and walk over to the table and sit down to think about this more clearly. “We need to go get her and fast.” I continue remembering how Ezera was looking.   “We will, we just need a plan.” My Uncle says trying to be reassuring, but it isn’t really him that I need help from.   Selaria was able to see Ezera, I’m hoping that she might be able to see my mother and help get them both out of there. I feel more that hear Selaria walk out of the room, but even if I didn’t know that she had walked out the door what the others did would have.   “Why is she here?” Hank asks sounding angry by the fact that Selaria was here.   “Who is she?” Troy asks curiously.   Going into her mind I tell her who they are, I just didn’t realise that Troy was even here. But looking over to him I see why I didn’t see him, he is sitting just out of my line of vision.   “She’s with me.” I say putting my head in my hands.   She knows that there is something wrong, but I am still getting used to having her always in my head, then I realise that I am keeping her out and wasn’t letting her see what I had just found out.   “What’s wrong?” She asks through the link, sounding concerned.   “My mother was taken by Elder Zarconian.” I say through the link.   She is by my side with seconds, shocked by what I said and places her hand on top of mine and I feel love and comfort seep into my body.   “We need to get a handle on this and find out all that we can, there is a traitor among us and we need to figure out who it is and how much damage they have done.” Uncle Charlie says pulling his seat out and sitting down.   “Yeah but who is she?” Troy asks again, this time a little more firmly.   “She is Godric’s girlfriend and the one that is going to help us figure out where they have both Ezera and Tarlia.” Uncle Charlie tells him and then looks at Selaria. “I need you to get as many of us as you can together and get to a place where you can have a meeting without anyone noticing, if you can also get Rafael as well that would be great, I need everyone.”   She nods her acknowledgement and then turns to me and says through the link. “We will find her.”   I turn and look at her and say through the link. “I know, I just hope they don’t hurt her as much as they have Ezera, we have to tell them about Ezera as well.”   She smiles at me and then says out loud so everyone could hear her. “Ok, well I’m off, if you need anything just call.” She went to the center of the room and teleports.   A few minutes after Selaria has left everyone else starts turning up and sit down and start talking to each other and wait for uncle Charlie to call for order.   My Uncle had a plan, send Selaria back get the guys and have a meeting. Since Selaria and I have this bond where we can see what each other see and hear what each other hear, we would tell both groups what is going on, on each other’s side. We needed to find out who the traitor is and where they might be hiding my mother.   Selaria had only just found the others and were seated in one of the empty classrooms, since Rafael thought it was too dangerous in the courtyard and they were pretending to be teaching Selaria how to use her powers in different ways, which is a good way to get them together without anyone suspecting them of anything if they are caught there and need a reason why they are there.   We didn’t even see or feel them coming. No alarms went off which means that someone gave them the password to get in.   I was still thinking about my mother and wondering where they might be hiding her. Which is probably why I didn’t see or feel them arriving.   The trackers and the destroyers arrive a few minutes after we were ready to start. My Uncle is the first to react. Everyone else was in shock at seeing them. I jump up and put a shield up to protect all of us.   “Everyone out now!” My Uncle yells to everyone throwing fire balls at the Trackers and Warriors. I made it possible for things to fly out of the shield but not to come in. “I’ll contact everyone about where to meet up, but don’t go home.” He continues just before anyone left.   Nearly everyone is out of the apartment. I sense that Selaria wants to come and join us and bring the others, but I can’t let her to do that, it will put her and the others in danger and then I won’t be able to concentrate on helping my uncle fight them off.   I notice that Derek isn’t anywhere to be seen and I start to worry about what has happened to him. I want to try and find him, but there are too many and it is just my uncle and myself left standing behind the shield.   “Go find Derek.” I hear my Uncle say after I throw a fire earth ball at one of the Trackers, who didn’t know how to defend himself from it. I am surprised that they could be surprised.   I leave my uncle and go and find Derek who is clearing everything out of my room, and wonder if he has done it to the other rooms. I notice bags floating behind him and guess that he has, which is good and it also means that none of the Trackers can get their hands on anything, they even find that they can’t go everywhere because of the shield that I had put up. This seems to make them extremely angry, and makes them stand with the Destroyers which made the attacks limited.   “Godric and Derek get the hell out of here now!” My Uncle yells as he takes out another Destroyer and is trying to take out as many as possible at one time.   “I’m not leaving without you!” I yell back as I bring two Trackers together and two Destroyers together, and put all four of them on fire.   I realise that the shield is starting to weaken and the Trackers and Warriors also notice, but then I see that it is getting repaired just as quickly as it is being weakened, which seems to confuse everyone.   “How are you doing that man?” Derek asks. But I’m not doing it, and after doing another recheck I notice that it is Selaria and the others that are doing it, she is using their strength and powers to repair the shield to help keep us safe.   “Godric take Derek and get somewhere safe now.” Uncle Charlie says again this time turning and looking directly at me, as if doing that will get me to do it more effectively.   I can’t leave him and I don’t want to. “I’ll leave only if you come with me.” I tell him and make sure that he understands that I’m not going to leave him.   He sighs shaking his head. “Who’s going to keep them off our trail if no-one stays here and keeps them busy?” He asks.   “The same person who is keeping the shield up right now, oh and it’s not me.” I say with a smirk and a slight nod of my head, hoping he understands what I’m saying.   He nods and we all hold hands and I wait until Selaria gives me the ok so we can all get out of here. I notice that she has a plan that I didn’t even think of, she is going to throw the shield on them and that is going to knock them out with just the sheer force of the impact.   She sends me the ok through the bond, and just before we leave we see all of them slam against the walls behind of them and get knocked out just as a fire starts.   ‘Man she is really strong and she is my girlfriend.’ I think, feeling really lucky.   We get back to my uncle’s place and I see a shocked look on both his and Derek’s face, and then he turns towards me.   “How did she do that?” My Uncle asks surprised by what just happened.   “I’m not sure, all I know is that she used our bond and amplified my power on them, and then she told me that we could go.” I tell him as he sits down in his chair, I follow suit and sit down on the couch.   Derek doesn’t move he is standing there in complete shock with what just happened.   “You are going to have to go to the other location and hide, quickly.” My Uncle says looking between me and Derek.   “How long do we have before we have to leave?” We hear Derek ask after a few minutes. He walks over and sits beside me. “They saw all of us, which means none of us, are safe.”   I look over to my uncle and know that what Derek just said is true. “He’s right, we are all going to have to find a place to hide long term before they find us, since the traitor has to be one of the higher ranking members of the Rebellion.” I say glancing at my Uncle.   “Well any ideas?” My Uncle asks standing up.   He starts pacing and picks a few things up and makes them disappear. I know that he is getting what he needs and whatever the Trackers and Warriors might try and use to find us.   I sense that Selaria is listening and see that she has an idea, but first she will have to ask someone that she doesn’t really want to talk to before she does anything else.   I look up at my uncle. “Selaria may have a place where we can hide.” I say to him, not knowing the reaction I am going to receive, but hoping for a good one.   Both his eyebrows shot up in shock. “Well I was starting to think that girl couldn’t shock me anymore than she already has, but this is a whole new level.” He shakes his head in disbelief, “And where is this place?” He asks curious.   “Somewhere that is shielded from everyone, no-one will be able to find us there, oh and there is no password to get in, you have to be brought in.” I answer him, hoping he won’t ask too many questions about it, as I don’t have all the answers.   “Ok, so what do you mean she may have a place?” He asks sitting down for a second and then getting back up and starts pacing again.   “Well she has to ask someone first if we can go there, it’s a little complicated.” I say and then I feel her nervousness.   “Do you think you and Derek can come with me, or at least you? I don’t want to go alone.” She says.   “Sure when do you want to go?” I ask hoping it’s soon.   “How about tomorrow?”   “Ok where shall we meet?”   “How about my room, at about one in the afternoon?”   “Done.”   When we finish the conversation I notice that I must have missed something, because my uncle is shaking his head and Derek has his head down with a massive grin on his face.   “What?” I ask defensively.   “I was asking when she will know we will be able to go there.” He says still shaking his head.   “Derek and I are going with her tomorrow to ask.” I tell him and get up and head over to my uncle who is now standing near a window beside the TV.   “What?” Derek asks looking at me with a shocked look.   “I’m guessing this was only just arranged.” My Uncle says when I stand next to him and look out the window.   “Yes, it was only arranged a few minutes ago.” I say to him, I sense that Derek wants to say something. “Derek it won’t take that long, and all you have to do is stand there and look pretty.” I turn around and look at him.   My uncle looks at me with a questioning and worried look. “So when do you go and how are you getting there?”   “We leave at around one in the afternoon and go straight to Selaria and she will teleport us straight there.” I say to him, knowing this is going to be a really big risk on mine, Derek and Selaria’s part.   “Is that wise?” Derek asks, looking a little shocked and scared at the same time.   “No it’s not wise, but I’m guessing we don’t have too many options.” My Uncle says to him and then turns to me and continues. “Take all the precautions that will be necessary and don’t take too many risks, I know how powerful you are, but we don’t know how powerful Selaria is and we don’t want either of you in danger.”   “I won’t take any risks, the only one taking a risk and a big one at that is Selaria, because if the Elders find out she is in as much trouble as we are if not more.” I say to him walking over to where Derek is and sit down on the couch. All this is starting to make me nervous just thinking about it.   “Good, but now, we have to get out of here and go to the next location.” My Uncle says and walks over to the center of the room, giving his lounge room one more glance.   “Where are we going?” Derek asks, fidgeting with one of the straps on the bags that he is now holding.   “We are going to a warehouse, but only certain people can get in.” My Uncle says giving the place a quick nod and then holds out his hand to us. “Do you think Selaria could teleport us there?” He asks when I walk over to him.   “Yes I can, you just need to tell me when.” I hear Selaria say.    “Just tell me when you’re ready and she’ll teleport us.” I tell him giving the room one last quick glance, hoping I haven’t forgotten anything.   My Uncle huffs and with a last look around the lounge room he says. “Let’s go.”   We went from my uncle’s lounge room to a warehouse I have never seen before. We are on a higher landing and are able to look down and see everyone that is either already here or arriving.   After a few minutes of looking around, I notice that nearly everyone from the Rebellion is here and so are their families. The only person that I can’t see here is Stella and her family.   “Where’s Stella and her family?” I ask confused that she hasn’t turned up yet.   “I’m not sure.” My Uncle says hesitantly.   I can tell by the look on his face that he is just as confused. His eyes swept below us twice, as if looking for her. Hank must have noticed and walks up the stairs towards us.   “Stella hasn’t arrived yet, and I sent a couple of people to her and her family’s houses, and they are empty, they look like they have been empty for a while.” Hank says when he reaches us.   “She can’t be the traitor, could she?” My Uncle asks sounding a little concerned, still looking at everyone below him.   “It’s a possibility.” Hank says scratching the side of his head and tilting it slightly to the right, which is his tell that he is hesitant about what he is saying and hoping that it isn’t true.   It doesn’t make sense, Jordan said that Stella loved Ezera, so why would she do this. “But why would she do it, she had feelings for Ezera?” I ask them.   “Yes but Ezera didn’t feel the same.” My Uncle says turning to me and Derek. “How about the both of you head down and get settled until you both have to go.”
