They can adapt to their new livings and try to make a difference, or not, stay in the depths of the endless darkness.

In this world, people are born with a superpower. But, what makes it a bit tricky is they must find a certain object. That certain object is the key for the user to gain access to their power. However, if it's broken, damaged, or turned into ash, they cannot use their power until it is fixed.

Radiant Stellar High, is a very well known school for it's transfer students. 70% of it are from different countries. It is located in the U.S where Lydia's parents had to move for work. Chapter 1
- In this world, everyone was born with magic. To have access through it, they must find a certain object. That object allows the user to use their power. Though if it's broken, they can't use their power. The key to their power is that object. It needs to be fixed, or lose their power. There are a few villains roaming around the U.S or any other country, but what's mostly seen is monsters. - A 15 year old girl, Lydia Sakoto(***). Her parents moved to the U.S due to their work. She doesn't know when they'll be back in Japan. Lydia was in her room, home alone. She was just reading through social media when she found a school not too far from her house. This school is known for their students from other countries. Many students there are transfer students, though that doesn't mean there aren't any students that came from the US. She decides to look up on the internet about the school, it teaches students about their abilities or helps them find their object/ability. She seems interested in the school and applies for it. LYDIA SAKOTO (***), Object: RIBBON Her ability is Dark magic, surprising, isn't it? But there's always a weakness to it. Everytime she exhausts her strength, she gets shorter by 3-5 cm. Such a funny weakness to a powerful ability. That's why she's short. Possibly even the shortest student in the whole school. The highschool name is Radiant Stellar High, or for short, R.S High. It's a popular high school in the US from all over the world for students from other countries to join if they wish to. Surprisingly, the entrance exam isn't about testing our abilities on defeating foes. But more likely, given them a sheet of paper and ask them questions about how much control they have on their ability and what object they have. After that, they ask various questions about subjects to test their knowledge. If they haven't found their object but that alone person, is smart. They would accept them but, they will have to take tests to figure out what kind of object they have. Lydia has been told to take part in the entrance exam if she's free today. If not, she can take part in another day. Since Lydia here has nothing to do rather than being in her room, she goes to prepare herself for the exam. She had studied last night but not a lot. Hopefully she gets accepted. She tries to encourage herself in front of the mirror, though she ended up sounding like she didn't care. But she ignores it and goes to the school anyway. It's a pretty big school and has a big yard, probably to learn more on how to control your abilities. She goes in and the hallway is much bigger than it looks on the outside. People glance at Lydia due to how short she was. Some even whisper about her. Random person: "Is that a kid? What is she doing here?" Random person: "I'm not so sure if it's a kid though, they walk around as if they know where they're going! Maybe she's just short..?" Random person: "There's no way a person could be THAT short, right?" Random person: "You do have a point, but there must be a reason for it. Let's just leave her alone." The whispers were just about people misunderstanding her as a 'kid' or that she's 'short'. But she didn't really care about it though, she's used to that kind of stuff everywhere she goes. She looks for her exam room. Getting lost along the way but luckily a janitor was nearby and showed Lydia where her room was. The janitor seems nice enough to give Lydia directions. His face didn't even show confusion due to how short she was. Though he might be awkward with her, just doesn't show it because he feels bad. Lydia finds herself in front of the exam room, takes a deep breath and goes in. All the people immediately stare at Lydia. Some didn't even notice she was there due to how short she was. The teacher took notice and gave Lydia her seat. The teacher looked stern and was very focused on her work. Lydia wasn't affected by it because she had a scarier side than the teacher. She was hesitant on what the school thinks about her after finding out her ability. But she just ignored it. That's what future Lydia has to deal with. After the test, Lydia decides to tour herself around the school for a while. As she was exploring, another thought came into her mind. Should she tell her parents about this? Random answers came and reasons why she should tell her parents. But on the other hand, she has another reason why she shouldn't. It's the most effective one. "They wouldn't care because they're too busy with their work." She decides to not tell her parents because now, they rarely have time for Lydia or even 1 minute to listen to her. After she tours herself around the school, she heads back home. It's in the afternoon already. Her parents aren't home yet, which means she's still home alone. She doesn't really know what to do here so she just went into the bathroom to get a shower before heading into her room to change her clothes, closed the door behind her, and went to lay in her bed. She eventually fell into slumber a few minutes later. The next morning, she headed downstairs and only saw her mother packing up before leaving, again. She was used to it and just went to the bathroom to get a shower. On her way to her room, she saw a mailman in front of her house. The mailman puts the mail in front of her door and leaves. Lydia was confused and hurried to change her clothes before opening the front door of her house. It was a letter, maybe from the school? She was afraid that she didn't get accepted because of her ability but forced herself to open it. She opened it and it says, - "Dear Lydia Sakoto, after seeing your ability that you wrote during the exam. We weren't so sure of accepting you into this school. But, we all discuss it further and decide to help you with controlling your ability. This is a very important case we're dealing with to not cause any harm towards the school nor the students. We are hereby to tell you that you're accepted and officially a student in R.S High! Congratulations! Be prepared for tomorrow as your day begins in this school!" To: Lydia Sakoto - THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL The next day, Lydia woke up and prepared herself to get ready for school. She prepares her books for today's lesson, gets dressed, and builds confidence. Though it didn't work because she always keeps a neutral face and voice. Probably because of her ability? It can happen. Her ability has been drowning herself into an immense amount of darkness ever since she discovered it. It's dark magic for a reason though, right? She heads to school while bringing her breakfast on the way. She's that type of person to not miss out on breakfast nor school. So she ate her breakfast before class started instead. She was also given a list of information during the mail. It said her class was on "10/4". There are various other classes such as 10/1, 10/2/, 10/3 and so on until 10/8. Lydia was placed in 10/4. She goes to look for her with the sign "10/4" while trying to ignore whispers from other students about her being "short". She finds the classroom and heads in. She quickly goes to her assigned seat and eats her breakfast there as fast as she can before class starts. The bell rings and the teacher still hasn't arrived yet, so the class has some free time. Most of the students are chatting while Lydia stays in her seat listening to the conversations flowing in the classroom. She's not very good when it comes to communicating with other students or people. A light-browned haired girl sat beside Lydia. ???: "Hello there! I'm Odette! You're new here also right?" ODETTE VON LAPHLAES, Object: PENCIL CASE She's able to summon anything from her pencil case. The limit is 15 items per day. She needs to be strong enough to get a heavy item out though, or even a wild animal. She's from France and had just got into the school. She's a friendly and caring person. Odette: "I'm from France, what's your name? Are you from the U.S or another country?" She's a very curious person... Lydia: "Lydia Sakoto, I'm from Japan but my parents moved here for a while because of work." Odette: "Oh well, that's fine! I love Japan, it's cool and pretty! Also what's your object and ability? I can summon things from my pencil case. 15 items per day!" She said filled with energy and happiness. Lydia didn't want her to find out about her ability because she's scared that Odette might not like her after revealing it. She doesn't know what to make as an excuse or a lie. Odette seems like a very nice person and wouldn't hate her for it. It's just an ability anyway, who cares for such little thing, right? Lydia: "Well.. My object is a ribbon and my ability is.. Dark magic..?" She said while pointing at her black ribbon. Odette gasps in shock but instead of getting scared, her eyes sparkle. Odette: "No way! For real?! That's so cool!! I know it's gonna be useful to defeat monsters with you around!" Lydia didn't show any emotion but is glad that Odette isn't that type of person to get scared or ignore her because of her ability. Odette: "But why are you so short though? Is it because of your ability?" Lydia: "Yes..?" Odette: "That's a funny weakness, but hey, I don't mind! But I'm sure it's tough for you to walk around when people keep glancing at you." They both chatted for a while even though Odette was the one that did almost all the talking. They made a close bond on their first day. Odette was very active at asking questions when class started, but not answering them. While Lydia just focuses on the lesson as the introverted person she is. Class ends soon and they both walk around and explore the school together. They bumped into someone along the way. Odette: "Ah- Sorry! Are you okay?" ???: "I'm fine, don't worry." Odette stared at the student for a while before realizing that she met her before. Odette: "Wait.. Raya?" Lydia just tilts her head in confusion. Raya: "How do you know my name..? Are you Odette..?" Odette: "Yeah it's me! From the entrance exam!" Raya: "Hehe, it's so nice to meet you again here! Hey, is that your little sister?" She said looking at Lydia with curiosity Odette: "Oh, no! You got it all wrong! She's Lydia, my classmate!" Raya: "H-huh? I'm sorry! I didn't know!" Lydia just nods her head as a sign that she accepts her apology. Her face doesn't really shows that she cares much since she gets that comment all the time. Odette: "Lydia, meet Raya! I met her during the entrance exam! We got into the same room!" Raya: "Nice to meet you Lydia! I'm Halima Haraya, from the UAE (United Arab Emirates)! I'm a muslim, hope you respect that." She sounds hesitant and rubs the back of her head as she says that she's a muslim. HALIMA HARAYA, Object: RING She's able to predict movements when in battle or when someone's trying to attack. She's a shy and kind girl who loves reading books. She's in class 10/2. Lydia just nods her head again, respecting her as a muslim. Raya sighs in relief as she's scared that someone does not like or respect her as one. The three of them explored the school together before the bell rings again for the next class to start. They had fun together and said their goodbyes as the bell rang again for the second time. Both of them went back to their class and sat on their seats. The teacher came in and told everyone to introduce themselves or even show off their powers if they wanted to. This can be a nice little break from the lesson earlier they had. Teacher: "Alright, who would like to go first? Any volunteers? Or I'll pick instead." Odette raises her hand and goes in front of the class with her pencil case. Odette: "Hello! I'm Odette Von Laphlaes from France, I'm 16 years old and my object is a pencil case! I can summon ANYTHING I want or need! I just need to think of the item and poof!" She performs her ability to the front of the class by pulling out an elephant's trunk inside of her pencil case. It's a pretty cool ability to have. Though for money, she can only pull out 1-10 bucks. But it's enough to buy an ice cream. Odette: "The limit of items I can pull out is 15 items per day!" The class applauds as Odette goes back into her seat happily. Many other students introduce themselves and show their power in front of the class. Except for one person, Lydia. Lydia: "Lydia Sakoto, from Japan but my parents moved to the U.S for work, 15 years old." She kept a blank expression along the way. She heads back to her seat with no information about her power or object. She had a reason for it. The students didn't notice that she didn't say her power nor object, except for one guy. ???: "Hey, Lydia! Do you mind telling us your power or object?" Lydia tries her best to ignore him even though it's obvious she's worried. Even Odette looks worried for her. But she quickly made an excuse. Odette: "Sorry! Lydia here, doesn't feel comfortable telling her power! But, her object is a ribbon here!" She points to Lydia's ribbon. ???: "Alright, I understand. Sorry." Odette: "No problem at all!" The teacher continued on with the introduction and her class rules before going to the lesson. It's still another normal lesson for them and Odette's getting bored. The teacher announced that an event was going to be held in the field to test their strength or martial arts. And of course, this got all the students hyped up. Teacher: "You will also fight against other classes." The moment the teacher said that, everyone in the class froze. No one said anything, it's very quiet. Teacher: "You will fight other students to test your martial arts there. If you haven't learned about martial arts, you can use your own fighting skills. The date for this event is still unknown, so be sure to be prepared." The teacher left the classroom and breaktime began. Everyone was buzzing with that announcement. Some are scared and some are excited. Both Odette and Lydia left the classroom to meet up with Raya again. Lydia: "Where's her class?" She said unemotionally. Odette: "I think 10/2? That's as far as I know." They both walked down the hallway once again with Odette having a full-on conversation with Lydia along the way. Lydia saw Raya in the hallway also. She looks like she's trying to find someone, that's when she spotted Lydia. She approached her with a big smile and waved at her. Raya: "Hey! Lydia! Odette!" She said as she approached the both of them. Odette: "Oh, there you are. We were looking for you." Raya: "Heh, sorry.. I wanted to say I made a new friend! He's from class 10/1." Odette: "Really? I want to meet up with him! Hey Lydia, is it okay?" Lydia just nods her head slowly. She's still hesitant to meet 3 people in a day. But she goes along with it anyway because she's curious and didn't want to make them upset. A black skinned boy with natural black hair approached them. Raya: "Alright you two, meet Julian! He's a cool guy I met when I was going back to my class!" Odette: "Hello!" JULIAN ROMAN, Object: WATCH He's able to create a screen from his watch and is able to research any necessary information he needs. But what's more useful is that he can give other individuals one power. He can't steal other powers and give it to another person. He can only give someone one power if a person willingly wants to. By giving them their object to him, he will put it inside of his watch and pass them on to another user through his screen. His weakness? His watch cannot be used when it's touched by water. Julian: "Nice to meet you. I'm Julian Roman from Italy." Odette: "Hello! I'm Odette from France! And this is Lydia from Japan but she moved here because of her parent's work!" Lydia just nods her head because she doesn't know what to say about herself. The 4 of them have a nice conversation and Julian is wondering why Lydia was short. But he thinks it's because of her power's weakness. They all had a great time together during break and lunchtime. It's in the afternoon already. Even though Lydia rarely shows any kind of emotion or expression, she was having a great time on her first day. The bell rings, signaling for school to end. Odette: "Aww man, school's ending. But hey, you had a great time here aren't you?" She smiles at her. Lydia can't deny it though, she already gained 3 friends on her first day. It can be overwhelming for her, but she warms up sooner or later. They all went their separate ways and Lydia headed back home. She opened the door and as expected, she's home alone. She goes to get a shower before heading to bed after a long day at school. She wonders what's awaiting her tomorrow? She wanted to make new friends but at the same time, she felt overwhelmed. She goes into a deep slumber, ignoring the question as she will find out tomorrow.
