We froze, staring at the door together.
"Who's it?" Aiden asked as someone came in.
A woman with tears falling down her eyes ran to Aiden. She opened her eyes, pausing at the sight of us together. I was trapped in his arms, his hands cupping my face and trapping me.
"Aiden?!" She sounded disappointed and in pain.
Aiden's eyes darkened as he let go.
"What do you want, Abbey?" he asked, voice cold and restricted.
"What do you mean, what do I want? I came to see my fiancé," she said, her tears stopping as if she wasn't crying before.
"Oh! Fiancé?!"
"I'm so sorry. I should be on my way..." I said, feeling weird and awkward as I moved towards the door, but Aiden held my arm.
