Masquerade

Saphirra locked eyes with the man at the bottom of the staircase.  She turned to speak to Captain Rogers before descending the staircase, "Captain, who is the gentleman at the bottom of the stairs?"  He scanned the people and said, "I do not know Your Highness, it is a masquerade so it is meant to be a mystery is it not?"  She nodded, but her gaze was locked on his.  The room was dark, but his royal blue outfit sparkled under the lights.  If one did not know better, they would think he intentionally matched her gown.  The silver threading and embroidery complimented his black hair.  The closer she came to him she could see his bright blue eyes glowing back at her.  A small smile crept on his face as she neared closer to him.       He took her hand in his and placed a small kiss on it.  "My lady, you look exceptionally lovely tonight.  I saved my first dance for the most beautiful mistress here and it seems to be your lucky day,"  he said with a playful smile.       She rolled her eyes, but couldn't help the smile that came across her face.  "Is that so sir?  I'm afraid I do not dance with overly confident strangers.  Besides I believe my first dance is already spoken for."     His face became serious as his stare intensified towards her.  She noticed the green flecks in his eyes as he bowed his head and looked up at her.  "One dance my lady, just one and I'll never ask again."  She could not tear away from his gaze and suddenly she felt as if there was no one else in the room but the two of them.  She was suddenly aware that her hand was still in his.  Without realizing it, her feet were moving with him towards the dance floor, their gaze never leaving each other.     He placed his other hand on her waist and she was suddenly hyper aware of how close his hand was to her backside.  He pulled her into him and her chest rubbed against his.  She could feel her n*****s harden with her arousal.  What was this man doing to her?  She stared at his full lips and bit hers as they began to sway together.  He noticed he stare and moved his mouth closer to hers.  As they were about to lock in a kiss they music increased and he spun her away from him.  They were suddenly moving in sync with the music.  She could not tear her eyes away from him.      Everyone had backed off the dance floor and allowed them to steal the show.  They moved in perfect rhythm as if they had been practicing their whole lives together.  The music slowed into its end as they ended back in their starting position.  Applause erupted around them as the band moved into the next song and others joined them on the dance floor.       She breathlessly looked up into his eyes, "who are you?"  "The one you've been waiting for Princess."  She glanced over at her parents to see her mother smiling dreamily and her father looking on disapprovingly.  He did not like strange men around his daughters.     She reluctantly pulled back so their chests were not touching, "I, um, thank you for the dance sir.  That was lovely."  He looked off in the corner as if someone was calling for him.  "I have to go my Princess," he pulled away from her and kissed her hand.  He walked away, but not without glancing back and flashing her a huge smile.  She suddenly felt dizzy as if the warmth of his body moving away from hers caused her to feel empty and nearly faint.  Her sister must have sensed her dazed state as she came over and grabbed her arm leading her away from the middle of the floor.     "Who was that?  He is probably the most handsome Lord I have ever seen!" Avianna's eyes were huge with excitement.  "All of the girls were staring at you they were all so jealous!  You all looked so wonderful out there together!  Where did he go?"  Her sister continued to chatter about the mystery man, but all she could see in her mind was his face.       All she could feel was his hands on her body and his hot breath on her skin.  She needed to be close to him again, she had never felt such a burning desire for someone.  She tried to shake the feeling of him off of her.  It was not appropriate for a princess to feel this way.  A lady should not feel aroused by a man who is not her betrothed.      "Sister!" Avianna shouted snapping her out of her daze.  "Oh my, this man has really had an effect on you has he not?  Sister I have never seen you so flustered!"       "I don't know who he was Avianna.  I know that I am feeling things for this man that I have never felt before.  I have to find out who he is.  I need to know him."       They gossiped and giggled about the man and the others around them.  Saphirra could not shake what she felt and continued to look for him.  She suddenly felt a light tap on her shoulder and her heart jumped expecting that he had returned to her. She turned with a bright smile to face him.  "Christopher?"
