CHAPTER 3

‘’Nah, i have plans na kailangan kong matapos. Saka na yang mga babae anjan lang naman sila.’’ – sagot ko.

‘’Ok then, but hey you still remember Yanna right? Anak ng kaibigan ng papa mo? She asked me and kinakamusta ka and available kapa daw ba.’’ – he said and chuckled

‘’Tell her I’m not.’’ – I plainly said.

‘’Ok, as usual.’’ – he said and shrugged.

Minutes later ay dumating na order namin at kumain na kami. Habang kumakain ako ay may biglang pumasok sa isip kong plano.

*cough cough*

‘’W-what did you put in here?’’- Sabi ko sa waiter matapos ko syang tinawag.

‘’S-sir? Hindi ko po alam, ako lang po naghatid nyan.’’ – sagot nya na kinakabahan.

‘’What’s wrong? ‘’– Tristan said

‘’I am allergic to nuts.’’ – I said while acting.

‘’Ha? Kelan—

Di na nya natapos ang sasabihin nya kasi umubo na ako ng todo. Sana lang gumana tong plano ko.

‘’CALL THE MANAGER NOW!’’ – sabi ni Tristan sa waiter.

‘’Yes sir? ‘’– sagot ng kakarating na manager at may nakasunod sa kanyang babae na nakadamit chef. It’s my kiana. I stared at her look. She looks very professional and decent. Ang ganda nya parin kahit may pawis sa gilid mg noo nya.

‘’POL!! ARE YOU OK?’’ – sigaw ni tristan at nabalik ako sa wisyo ko and nasa harap kona ngayon sila.

‘’A-ahh y-yes who cooked my meal?’’ – wtf? Did I just stutter? This is your plan kaya panindigan mo apollo.

‘’Kiana, can you explain this? ‘’– sabi ng manager at lumingon kay Kiana.

I saw her nervousness because she keeps pinching her palms at namula na yon.

‘’S-sir i am very sorry. The waiter didn’t say anything na bawal ilagay kaya i just followed the menu. I am really sorry sir.’’ – she said and bowed. I feel a stinging pain in my chest seeing her bow to me. Kaya humingi nalang ako ng tubig at pinaalis na sila. I want to hug her so bad kaya pinaalis ko na bago pa may magawa akong hindi ko pinag-iisipan. Nakita ko nanaman sya kaya success ang plano.

‘’Since when are you allergic to nuts?’’ – tanong ni tristan na may panunudyong tingin.

‘’Ahh I just knew yesterday'’ – I said and shrugged.

He gave me a sharp look and continues to eat.

I was heading to my car when Kiana approached me. KIANA? APPROACHED? ME? What?

I was stunned seeing her infront of me. I have never seen her this close to me before and i feel very nervous. I always see her everyday pero sa malayo yun not like this na sobrang lapit nya at kinakausap ko. Kinakausap ako. Kinakausap ako. Baliw na ako.

‘’Sir? Is there something wrong?’’– she said na nakakunot ang noo.

‘’Ahh nothing, You were saying?‘’– sabi ko nang makabawi ng wisyo ko

‘’I deeply apologize for what happened earlier sir. I didn’t know you were allergic no nuts. Please, anything i can do wag mo lang akong ipasisante‘’– she said straight and may takot na mata nya.

I didn’t know my plan will affect her this bad. Masesante? No way. I will not let that happen to her.

‘’No, it’s fine. I have talked to your boss and everything is good no need to worry Kiana.’’ – I said comforting her.

I think it is a dream come true to call out her name like that in front of her. I know I am acting so weird right now but I don’t care, I am a sucker for her

‘’H-how did you know my name?’’ – she said confused.

‘’I-i knew because the manager said earlier’’ – I said na kinakabahan. Nako muntik na, buti nalang naisip ko agad yung pagtawag ng name nya ng manager kanina. Apollo umayos ka.

‘’Ohh ok sir, hehe‘’– She said and smiled. I almost melt in my spot just seeing her smile. God how did I deserve that pure smile.

‘’Can I offer you a coffee sir? My conscience won’t stop bugging me. Accept it as a part of my apology sir'’ – she said

‘’Sure! What time?’’ – I said hiding my excitement. I have never been this excited when invited before

‘’Tomorrow at 6. You can pick the place, sir’’

She said habang inaabot ang card nya sakin.

‘’Ok i’ll text you as soon as i’ve decided'’ – sabi ko na hindi mawala ang ngisi sa labi ko.

We bid our goodbyes at nagtungo na ako sa kotse ko. WHAT THE F*CK? I just realized what I have done. She already knows me. Not my name but me. Diko alam kung ano ang susunod kong gagawin, my mind is occupied with the thought that we will meet again and my smile almost reached my ear just thinking about that thought.

Tristan’s pov-

I was not over the thought sa nangyari kanina. Apollo is acting weird and hindi ako sanay na ganon sya. He doesn’t stutter even a bit kahit sobrang kaba nya, stuttering is a sign of weakness and he is far from that. He is the most arrogant person I know and he won’t let anyone get the wrong perception of him. I know him and he doesn’t act like that whenever he is talking to people.

I was heading to my office when my phone rang.

It is apollo. Now, this isn’t good. He never calls first. Wala syang pakialam sa lahat ng tao unless importante ang pag-uusapan.

‘’Yes?’’ – usal ko at kunot-noong matamang nakikinig sa kabilang linya

‘’The incident earlier, don’t mind it. Don’t fire the crews it’s not their fault'’ – he said

‘’Oookkay? Hey, what is up with you? You’ve been weird lately’’ – i said sana sagutan nya ng maayos.

‘’Nothing, just personal matters, bye’’– sabi nya at binaba na ang tawag. He hates na pakialaman ang kanyang buhay. What he tells you is what he allows you to know, nothing more, he is a privates person and I respect that. Sasabihin naman nya sakin kung gusto nya, ganyan sya since we were kids he never changed. As long as he is fine and good, I respect his decisions and won’t insist on knowing it, he hates that.

Kaya walang nagtatagal na babae sakanya kase sobrang mapaglihim nya. He didn’t take them seriously, just toying them and leaving them broke. Diko alam bakit wala syang sineryoso may balak yatang magpari.

Days have passed and the day has come.

Apollo’s pov-

Today is the day na magmimeet kami. I decided to go home early para makapag handa. Cheesy na kung cheesy but I want to impress her and look good for her.
