A little while later, Mika finally arrived. I pushed my thoughts about Kendra to the back of my mind. I could ask Sammy later. “Hey, Sophie!” Mika hugged me. My gloomy mood suddenly changed. “Great to see you, girl,” I beamed wide, embracing her, “My new boss brought me here to shop!” “Lucky you! Anyway, let’s go!” Mika giggled as we walked towards the boutique. “Where is Diane?” I asked Mika. “Oh, for some reason, she can’t go. Her mom is super sick, plus Damien is going wild. She said something was wrong with her brother,” Mika answered. “Aww. Poor Diane,” I mumbled, taking a mental note to send her a message.
