--- Episode 6 – Coffee, Confessions, and Distractions Zara needed air—and caffeine strong enough to silence her thoughts. After that boardroom clash with Ethan Knight, she escaped to a quiet café in SoHo, tucked into a corner booth with her head pounding and her heart racing for all the wrong reasons. —or maybe the right ones. She didn’t know anymore. "Tell me you’re not thinking about him again," came a familiar voice. Lana Brooks, her best friend since college, slid into the seat across from her. Zara sighed. “I don’t want to talk about him.” Lana smirked. “That’s not a denial.” Zara looked out the window. “He gets under my skin.” “And into your head,” Lana added, sipping her oat milk latte. “Classic tall-dark-and-brooding with a billionaire complex. You know your type.” Zara frowned. “He’s not my type.” Lana leaned forward, lowering her voice. “Then why do you talk about him like he's a plot twist you weren’t prepared for?” Zara stayed quiet. She didn’t have an answer that didn’t sound like a confession. Back at Knight Empire, Ethan sat alone in his office, staring at his phone. He should have been reviewing marketing projections. Instead, his screen was open on Zara’s profile. Her credentials. Her past work. Her photo. He didn’t know why he was still staring—until his phone buzzed. Unknown Number: You might be a genius in business, but you’re a disaster with women. Just a friendly tip. – L Ethan blinked. Who the hell was L? Meanwhile, Zara sat back in her chair and narrowed her eyes at Lana. “You didn’t.” Lana shrugged. “Oh, I did.”
