That night, Justin lay on his wooden bed preparing for the journey the next day. “system bring up visible screen menu” since he was going on a probably dangerous quest., he had to make all the necessary preparations and of course that included the system. The familiar black screw spread across his view. Today his little grip showdown with Harold had made him realize what parts he needed to work on. Clicking on the stat menu all his stats were placed right in front of him Host name; Justin Craig Strength; 23 Age; 17 Intelligence; 31 Stamina; 25 Agility; 15 The intelligence stat pleased Justin the most, of course a man like him couldn’t possess a small intelligence hehe. But what he needed now was mostly agility stamina and strength. He’d say he was quite okay with the strength since he was able to face off with Harold and not lose. So what was needed now was the agility and stamina considering it was a jungle he was going to. He tapped on the upgrade icon beside the agility stat and a prompt was brought before him * upgrade agility stat with 5000xp points? Yes/ No* “and that’s a yes” the yes button was clicked and the 15 points on the agility stat went up to 17 points. A good feeling spread throughout his body and he decided to keep upgrading. He upgraded two more times bringing it up to 21 points and he left the remaining 5000xp points for later. Next thing he needed was skills. He hadn’t forgotten the one shot fire dragons kill that took down the centipede. It was cool as f**k! “I have to get more of that “ he thought and went to the shop menu and directly to the skill section ready to get another skill like that. “ hmm skills…yes…hmm stealth freak…nice” a particular skill caught his eyes. Tapping on the details to know more about it and info section was brought out STEALTH FREAK; User will go invisible for fifteen minutes. During this period all stats are increased by 6points Skill Rating; rare Justin's eyes widened at what he saw, this was such an overpowered skill! Moreso It would be very useful to his journey tomorrow. With the skill he would just sneak in and take all the herbs without the Taijins knowing! Justin's hands were shaking as he stretched to purchase the skill, *click* he tapped on the purchase button and was ready for another skill acquisition *ding* * insufficient sp points. Host need 67 more points to purchase the skill* “f**k!!” Justin screamed out loud. He needed 67 more points…that was a whooping 100sp points! He only had 33 points. Damn! He had to forget about getting the skill anytime soon…but it was such a good skill. Justin carried a front face as he went away from the shop menu and into the skills section where his skills were. Since he couldn’t get a new one he’d just upgrade the one he had. The skills menu brought out two skills, one learned and one unlearned. A red exclamation mark was placed on the unlearned skill but Justin couldn’t care less. He was f*****g angry right now so he spent 30sp points on the fire dragon skill upgrade leaving only 3 sp poins left. The next day, Justin had finished his preparations and was ready to leave. After he had dressed up for the journey, a knock came in his room. He figured it was kulin who had come to get him because they were both going together. Justin immediately went over to open the door but surprise surprise it was Matilda on the other side. She was holding a tray in her hands with a food that gave off a nice aroma on it. “like my mother always said, never go out with an empty stomach” Matilda said smiling widely. Justin's face brightened up, he hasn’t had a meal since he got here. This was the perfect time for food delivery! In the room, Justin just finished eating and was ready to start the day but he noticed something, Matilda was somehow feeling down? He wiped his face with a cloth nearby and went over go where she sat “what the problem?”. Matilda looked back at him at him and tried to hide her expression “ no no I’m fine” she said with a awkward smile on her face. Justin had much experience with women to know that she wasn’t really feeling okay “c'mon you can tell me anything” He assured her. “Do you really have to go?” Matilda asked out of the blue. Justin was taken aback “what do you mean?”. Matilda adjusted her position “ you know what I mean…do you really have to go to the link I jungle? You don’t have any ties with us for you to risk your life to help our situation” don’t get her wrong, even though they really wanted someone to help but what if he died or something and an innocent man was lost because of her. She didnt want to feel guilty all her life. Justin chuckled, so this was what was worrying her “your dad saved m-“ “ even though he saved you. Still that doesn’t mean you should throw your life away” Matilda cut him off as she tried to convince him at the last minute. Justin gave her an assurance glance as he patted her on the back “ don’t you worry about me” he said. Suddenly Justin felt like a thousand generation of curses were being sent to him. “ it’s time” a very deep solemn voice spoke interrupting the atmosphere in the room. Justin looked up to see kulin looking at the both of them with a very dark gaze. He had apparently arrived a few seconds ago. *cough* Justin immediately left Matilda as he coughed embarrassingly. He avoided eye contact with kulin as he picked up his materials and bolted out of the room.
