Chapter 24

They were closing in! Justin couldn’t afford to cast any skills when in the house, he could destroy the whole building. “Chief, take Matilda and go to the safest part of the house you know. I’ll deal with this” Justin said, his eyes dead focusing on the door. “what will you do?” Chief mutilo asked, worried about him. Justin smiled “…I just might burn something…” .. Kulin ran as fast as he could. Suprisingly, the centipedes didn’t seem to be interested in attacking him or any other part of the village. They only marched in one direction…a direction he feared was his house. As he got nearer and nearer to his house, it was very clear that was where the centipedes were headed. The door exploded and the cluster of centipedes that had gathered outside the door was blown away. Justin immediately dived outside, did a roll up and ran! The centipedes chased after him as furious shrieks sounded everywhere. “justin!” kulin called as he ran to catch up with him. Justin recognised kulin's voice but couldn’t afford turning back as he had to follow the first rule of chase engagements; never turn back when being pursued! Justin kept running faster and faster, he had to lure these bastards to a place where he could promptly finish them off … The guards and the surviving waterfall members rushed to evacuate the villagers. Atleast they could mitigate some of the damage. But what they saw surprised them, none of the houses were harmed. Even though the queen centipede moved through the village, she didn’t crush anything intentionally since the path was wide enough for her. Bauxia and the rest looked at this rare phenomenon, how could wild beasts like these now harm the villagers…not even one causality! Although the centipedes seemed to be charging at something, like they were chasing a particular thing. Bauxia was very eager to find out, it couldn’t all have been for nothing. They couldn’t have just later their lives down for nothing when the centipedes meant no harm to them in the first place Bauxia's eyes turned pitch black as no color could be seen in them. He may have been spent on the battlefield but he could still spare some energy for his crow eyes. A crow circling the space above his head cawed as bauxia’s eyes changed. It stopped for some seconds then it flapped its wings and moved with speed. It flew forward, gradually catching up to the centipedes at the forefront. They were in pursuit of a man with green colored hair. They only seemed to want to harm him, even the second man in the middle running with them was untouched. Bauxia's eyes returned to normal as his face scrunched up in anger. The situation had become clear to him. That was the boy who the village guards had rescued days ago. If the centipedes true target was him, that means he was the one who brought the calamity to the village! That god forsaken bastard had caused the death and pain of tens of waterfall members and guards! They had rescued him and this is how he relays them? Bauxia signalled old man ling and Xiao to chase after the centipede and keep eyes on the situation. … Justin ran with extreme speed, his target was the boundary between Wonpas and the forest. If he could reach it then the centipedes were easy peasy…then he could focus on the big one! As he ran, the houses he could see gradually reduced and soon enough there were no houses around. Only a wide free space with a single building. The compound was wide enough for him to execute his plans. He didn’t have yo go tho the boundary after all. “fire dragon punch!” Justin suddenly stopped and punched back at the centipedes. The majestic Dragon came to his aid once again but this time it wasn’t alone. There were two fire dragons! The two intertwined and their bodies joined up, forming a massive fire dragon with two heads. Justin marvelled at this; this was the result of the skill upgrade he did? Damn! The fire dragon snorted out smoke from its nostrils as it gave an imposing look to the flock of centipedes. It roared as it headed for the lot, burning them and the area around. The centipedes shrieked in terror as they saw the fire. Justin hadn't forgotten, the bitches were scared of fire! Muahahaha The unforgiving flame roasted over half of the centipedes alive. The ones at the back only surviving because of their distance but still couldn’t dare to cross the fire. Two centipedes of larger sizes than the rest stepped out admidsr the fire. The armor around them protecting them from the blazing fire. They were the last remaining warrior centipedes. Justin cursed these ones weren't afraid of fire! The two shrieked and charged at Justin with their tough as steel heads. Justin was taken by surprise, he wasn’t expecting an attack like that! The head of one hit right on his chest as he was sent crashing into the building. “ugggh fuuc….” Justin grained as he clenched his chest and coughed out blood. It was like a truck had driven all over his chest…it f*****g hurt! Kulin finally caught up and immediately fired an arrow in the middle of the two centipedes. Ice exploded and knocked the warrior centipedes into the air. He rushed over to where Justin was and helped him up. Bringing out the pouch chief mutilo gave him earlier, he brought out a small bottle from it and administered the contents to justin. The refreshing liquid subsided the pain Justin felt a bit. “T…thanks” Justin struggled to say ad he rested on kulin. “Can you still fight?” kulin said yo him as he readied his bow and targeted the two warrior centipedes getting up. Justin cleaned the blood from his face and nodded. “Alright, this serious, no more fancy tricks. Lets go all out” Justin psyched himself up as his eyes narrowed and he summoned the emperor's chain. These two warrior centipedes proved to be tougher than fire…well let’s see how though they are against chains! A thick golden chain of about three feet with deadly spikes slowly extented from justin's wrist giving off a menacing aura
