chapter 4 HIM

nixie: OK, it's 6:30p.m. i'm early of course.

will he even show up?

"i stood there with hesitation waiting on Alex to come around the corner".

7:30p.m

nixie: ha.... why, am i surprised? "i said with tears rolling down my cheek".

then all of a sudden i heard foot steps coming. i wiped my tears off my face fast so that no one would see me crying.

it was Alex!!! he came!!! my heart melted as i looked at his handsome face. with his beautiful baby blue eyes and dark drown hair.

nixie: hey!!

Alex: hey, nixie. moana said you wanted to talk to me? he said while rubbing the back of his neck.

nixie: um oh,yeah about that lol um it's... um well.... you see.... "my face was burning and i couldn't stop muttering"

"just tell him" i said to myself.

I LIKE YOU!! LIKE A LOT I HAVE LIKED YOU FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS!!!

he stood there in disbelief looking at me with pitiful eyes. "i knew i shouldn't of confessed".

Alex: look nixie i... i'm sorry but i don't...

i cut him off before he could finish

nixie: i know, "i said with my eyes starting to tear up" it's fine

Alex: i really am sorr....

cutting him off again

Nixie: don't be it's fine " i started to walk away" then he said something that really broke my heart.

Alex: it's just that i like moana and i only came because....he hesitated she asked me to.

my heart stopped when he said that. it felt like my heart shattered into a million pieces. haha why, wouldn't he like her.

i mean the whole school has a crush on moana even the teachers.

Nixie: i said it's fine Alex, no need to say more.

Alex: i was wondering if you could put in a good word for me. since she's your best friend and all.

he said while running his fingers through his hair.

Nxie: sure, i said with my back turned away from him hiding my tears as i started walking. this was so stupid. i knew he didn't like me but i let moana talk me into doing the most idiotic thing i have ever done. instead of going back to the hotel room where moana was probably waiting on me to tell her everything. i decided to go for a walk on the beach instead. as i was walking the shore a storm was rolling in. i like storms so of course i stayed i sat down on the sand looking at the beautiful moon and ocean view.

this is nice. i closed my eyes and took in the energy from the moonlight and waves. then i heard what sounded like someone singing. "huh'

who's singing? i asked myself.

i stood up and followed the beautiful voice

. what a beautiful melody it sounds like a guys voice tho. i followed the song until i reached a empty cave.

Nixie: f**k that! i'm not going in there. as i turned to leave whoever it was started singing again. it's like the voice was entrancing me because the next thing i knew i was walking into the cave. nixie this is the 2nd most stupidest thing you have done today. what the hell is wrong with you going into a unknown cave following a beautiful strangers voice.

i walked for what seemed like forever following this mysterious voice then i saw him. my eyes widen in disbelief. a mermaid! i mean well it's a guy so a merman!! i gasped.

i must of been loud because he turned around and jumped into the pound of water. that he was sitting by.

nixie: wait!!! don't go!! i don't mean any harm! i said but he didn't listen and swam off

oh man no way did i just see a merman? no way right? sigh well whoever he is he's gone.

LOUD THUNDER

oh shoot the storm. i better get going before it gets worse an i get stuck in here. i walked and walked but never reached the entrance. at this point i was freaking out because i was lost.

Nixie: where am i? i feel like I've been walking in circles because everything looks the same. just my luck get rejected by my crush and getting stuck in a cave with no way out. i started laughing then tears rolled my face 'as i dropped down curling my knees' "how will i get out of here". your so stupid nixie. as i continue to cry then i felt something wet huh! the water! there's water in here that wasn't here before. s**t s**t s**t the tide is coming in nixie you i***t. i started to run i could cry later. i ran as far as i could but the water was getting deeper an making it harder.

shit s**t why can't i find my way out.

MERMANS POV

minutes later

merman: now where did that human go. they should be close to drowning by now. he said as he pocked his head out of what was now just a whole instead of a pound of water.

where did they go. i heard a scream for help. with splashes all around. there they are "evil smirk"

i followed the sounds of the struggling human (few more minutes later) ahhha there they are i swam up to the now what seemed like a lifeless body.

whats this a female? ha serves you right for being a stupid human. he said with a mean tone.

i looked at this human with disgust as i swam up to finish the job but as i went to grab her an put her in my arms. she opened her eyes for a brief moment an in that moment a shock wave went through my body. "wtf was that" as i looked around.

then i looked at her and she was one of the most beautiful creatures i have ever seen! beautiful long dark wavey brown hair, her small but full pouty lips that were meant to be kissed. and beautiful dark brown eyes from what i could see.

what the hell is wrong with me. i'm a merman an we kill humans male or female. we don't get attracted to them. but "she's different". ugh i said with irritation.

what harm will it do to save this one human no one will know. i swam to the entrance an had to get there fast before she wouldn't recover.

i got to shore "breath girl breath"i said no use i have to give mouth to mouth. i put my mouth on to hers. what's this feeling even tho its not really even a kiss it feels so good. she gasped for air an started to cough.
