Chapter 11

Scarletts POV

We were on our way to the kids and i was so mad but very happy to have them safe and sound. I looked back and saw john was miserable but it didnt make me feel good to see him but i couldnt keep quiet. “ Why did you do it was the money more important than your own kids.” I was fuming and he saw it. “ Listen Scarlett im sorry i didnt know she was planning on killing Jake and Maddy i promise she just said that she didnt want you near them and i wanted to be near them that i didnt even think clearly.” I looked at him and rolled my eyes and said “ You better be lucky that she didnt do anything irreversible or so help me god i would have killed you myself.”With that i turned around and looked over at gabriel and all i saw was pure adoration and i was so happy with that. We reached were the kids were and i all but ran out of the car and went to look for them but i stopped when i realized that i had no idea where to go so i looked for Gabriel and saw him chuckling so i said “ Hey not fair i have no idea where to go and im kind of anxious to see my babies” and he nodded. I have noticed he has grown to love my kids just by seeing them all but twice but who couldnt love them. While were walking i asked “ I have to know what do you see when you look at Jake and Maddy?” He was so surprised by my question but answered “ They are your kids so that makes them mine as well even tho i didnt father them i love them Scarlett how can i not they had my heart when they were at the palace and they are such great children!” i was crying at the end and John spoke up and said “ Im sorry for what i have caused but i love them too and it feels like im an outsider and ill just leave you two to raise them” “Are you serious John have you not learned anything  Those kids love you and they want nothing better than to have you in their lives how dont you see that?” He was shocked and i felt like i was shocking everyone with my word and Gabriel just hugged me from behind and said “Thats why you were chosen for me and i you, We compliment each other and you are so strong.”  i smiled and looked at john again and he had his head held low and said “ I never knew that me being gone did more damage to them than staying, I heard them say before i left that mommy didnt deserve what daddy was putting her through and that they would be better off!” Me nor John realized the kids were hearing us and Jake spoke and startled us “ Dad im so mad you brought us to that lady that wanted mommy but what you heard was kids repeating what mommy said to her friend that she didnt deserve being put through all the heartache i dont want you to be gone im sorry!” Maddy and Jake ran to hug John and kept repeating sorry and i was in tears. Gabriel looked at me and said We all have to talk and i want to make myself very clear. I was kind of nervous and nodded so he continued “ You are mine lets make that clear from the beginning” and i chuckled and said  “Only yours” “What do you mean shes yours she isnt some type of property you claim” I couldnt do anything but burst into a fit of laughter and they all looked at me like i was some lunatic except for Gabriel that was fuming mad “ I dont care what you think she is mine and you have no say in it” I cut in before it turned into a fight John could not win. “Hey relax its fine nothing to worry about its something he and i have as an inside joke!” He looked at me and said “Joke what type of joke is that its not even a little bit of funny!” I then countered “ This what we have is real and ..” I didnt even get to finish my sentence when John tried to kiss me and i was pulled into Gabriels arms and i heard a loud angry growl and it was gabriel. s**t is all i could think and as an instinct i put my arms around him and said “ Baby please he wont understand” “Well ill make him understand or matter of fact ill show him” gabriel said. He must have seen the horror in my face because he immediately calmed down and said “ Not in the way you think he will see me shift and if your okk i want the kids to see as well and i will let you know why.” I crossed my arms and said “ Well i think you owe me alot of explanations today but continue!” “I want you and the kids to age like i do but it will require you to change like me and your kids as well thats why i want you and the kids to have the option to think about it and if John here wants to as well he will have somewhere to stay and be with the kids as much as he likes but only if he becomes like us!!” and i was shocked i knew i would do anything to be like him but as for the kids i felt that they would be to scared and i didnt want them to go through pain so i asked “ Will it hurt i dont want them to be in pain” He said “It wont hurt until they become of age to transform but you and john will be in pain because you will transform immediately after its complete and the blood running through your veins.” I nodded and said i choose to be with you forever and i choose to do it!” Gabriel hugged me and lifted me off my feet and i just screeched at the sudden movement and i felt immense happiness. As confused at the conversation john said “What the hell are you talking about” and the kids just looked at us confused so Gabriel said “ Im a werewolf and the kids chuckled and said “ We know we heard you talking to mommy about it and we accept you all the same we love you” He smiled with all the love he had for them and just opened his arms to them and they flew to him and i just stood watching in awe at the family that was in front of me! Gabriel looked at John and said “ Are you ready to become one of us and have your mind blown?” he said with a smirk. He just nodded and on cue Gabriel started to change. I heard the bones cracking and his face elongate and his bones being rearranged to fit his body into a big wolf and at the same time his hands, feet, face, and body were noe covered in a beautiful black fur and he stood just about 8 feet tall on all fours. He got down on his belly and i couldnt help but  put my hands through his hair. It felt like silk an dit was so addicting i even put my face on his fur and i heard him purr and i went to his face “Oh my god your so beautiful and your fur is like silk” I looked at the kids and they were in awe but when i looked at John it was pure terror and confusion and as if he knew he changed back and he was fully clothed. I was dumbstuck and i all but blurted out “ Arent you supposed to be naked?” He raised an eyebrow and smirked and said “ Oh wouldnt you have liked that huh?” and i just blushed and put my hair in my face to cover my red face. John was so scared he just asked “ How is this possible it was supposed to be a myth not real this is too much im so scared i wanna run but im so calm at the same time!” At his words he looked to his right side and said “come out” and i looked at the way he was staring. A young girl around Jakes age came to him and hugged Gabriel. He said “ let him go and stop messing with peoples emotion they have free will to feel any emotion and you should take that right away rose okk?” looking at her sternly. She sheepishly smiled and said “Yes Alpha” and retreated to where she came from and John stayed there and said “ I will do it im tired of running and being a coward i want to see my kids grow with my own two eyes and i have a right to be happy maybe this is what i need, Im in.” I yelled and hugged him just to be thrown into Gabriels arms and he said “ Just so you know wolves are very possessive towards their mates no men!” i laughed and said “well thats going to be hard considering my best friend is a male and i have no intentions on ditching him” and he got upset and said “ Fine friends i can do he was your husband at one point and i dont like him for what he did to my babies but he is their father so i trust that he will be on his best behaviour around here right?” he looked at john and john shook his head yes very fast.
