Scarletts POV

I cant believe Gabriel asked me out 2 days ago he asked me for my number and i gave it to him and was so giddy. We talked for hours wednesday and he went home close to one in the morning. Since i didnt work anymore in the mornings i had time to get myself together and actually search for a job that i was going to enjoy. I was all over the internet and searching on newspapers and thanks to saving up i had enough money to sustain myself for at least two months. I was planning on going out to the stores with my little ones after they came home but i wasnt going to rush anything so i can have time for them. I was thinking about starting a business from home so i can have something to do and still be with them but what can i do. I was thinking so much i barely missed the call that would change everything. I answered the call and said “ Hello” “Hi is this Mrs. Hargrove?” the lady said over the phone. “Yes this is she may i ask who this is?” and she quickly said “ Oh im sorry my name is Mya and i work for Tech and Sally Incorporate and i received your resume and i believe you posses all the qualities to become an assistant secretary!” I was stunned and she quickly said “ Do you have time to discuss the job further?” “Yes i have the time right now” i said and i heard her say perfect shortly after. She began “ Ok this job is from Ten in the morning until three p.m. which would make it five hours a day from Monday thru Friday and the hourly salary is 23 an hour. Is that something you would be interested in.” “Yes i am interested” i responded all to quick. She said “ Great so can you come by within the next hour to fill the papers required and you will be able to start Next Monday assuming all the background check comes back good.” I immediately said “ Thats fine ill be there within the hours can i have the address please” as i grabbed paper and a pen to jot down the info needed. She said “ Yes the address is  2765 Center lane and its the fifthteenth floor. Let the secretary know that you spoke to me and she will escort you to the waiting room until i arrive. Hope to see you soon.” and hung up. I ran to get dressed for the interview and ran out the door grabbing only essentials. 

I reached the building and it was so huge from the outside. I looked up and it felt like i was looking at a sky scrapper and chuckled internally thinking what the hell its just an interview they cant possibly want me. I still went in and took the elevator and up up until the fifthteenth floor and when the elevator opened up it was like walking into a castle. It made me think about Gabriels palace and i was smiling just at the thought of seeing him tonight. I walked up to the counter and i saw this brunette wearing a revealing shirt and way too much makeup and i politely spoke “ Hello my name is Scarlett and i have an appointment with Mya she said you would escort me to the waiting room!” She looked at me with disgust and simply said very rude

“ I think your mistaken Mya is a really big boss and if she sees you like that she will just walk away”. I was so mad at the way she looked and talked to me and that same moment my phone rung and it was gabriel and he said “ Are you okk babe i feel very frustrated and i wasnt feeling like this a minute ago?” I responded “ im so mad babe i was called for an interview and the receptionist told by the lady mya to take me to the waiting room was so unprofessional and she looked at me with disgust!” She looked at me and and rolled her eyes. He said “what company are you in babe?”  I said “ Tech and Sally Incorporate” and he said “ill be there are you on the fifthteenth floor already” and i just said “ Yea how did you know” He hung up and i looked at my phone like what the hell just happened. I hear the elevator and look and there in all his glory he steps out. I look at the girl and shes pushing her bra up and i chuckle. I was going to go to him but i wanna see how this plays out. He looks in my direction and smiles and i go up to the Counter and say again can you please connect me to mya i was told by her to come within the hour she scoffed at me and bluntly ignored me and turned her attention on Gabriel which you could notice was fuming mad and said “ Hi hun can i help you?” He looked at her and said “Yes you can pack all your stuff and get the hell out of my office I believe Scarlett asked you something and you just ignored her and also treated my girlfriend bad!” She looked at me and was dumbfounded and said “ Why didn’t you say you were Gabriel’s girlfriend” and smiled fairly and I rolled my eyes “ Why would I even mention Gabriel when it has nothing to do with him since I’m here for a job”. He came to me and pulled me in and smelled me and said “You smell so delicious i could take you back to my office and do so much to you”. I giggled and said “Stop it babe but can you do me a favor and get Mya for me please”! He nodded and went behind the counter and all but yelled at her “ I told you to grab your things and get out of my company” and proceeded to call Mya. I looked at him suspiciously and said “ If you had anything to do with this job…. “He looked at me and said you don’t wanna be my secretary huh babe” and my jaw dropped at that and I smiled and ran to him and grabbed me and put me on the counter and said “ I want to help and I know your stubborn and won’t let me buy you a house or move in with me yet this is the best thing I could come up with.” I just nodded and said “Touché”. He chuckled and said you have the job but I really need to have the paperwork filled out cause it has to be legal” “ I just do t know what to say Gabriel but Thank you love” he gave me a breathtaking smile and planted a small kiss on my lips when Mya came and cleared her throat and I just blushed and she chuckled. I see you know Gabriel so that’s why he had me hire you. “I learn very quick and I will work very hard. I’m not here to step on toes nor be a b***h but I do need this job and if I know what to do I’ll take it from there but my work shows for itself.” I smiled with so much determination that she all but stood up taller and she nodded and said “ Gabriel I like her I see what you see in her and she will be a great queen Luna” and I once again let my mouth open and he closed it shut literally and laughed. “ I’m his cousin Luna and I was dying to meet you so I suggested he bring you in so I can get to know you” she all but hugged me after saying that. I felt so at home I hugged her back and said “ oh my god it’s so nice to meet you so your a werewolf too huh” and I sighed and put my hand on my forehead and looked around. She chuckled and said “ Yes I am and you don’t have to worry nobody heard you I would have noticed just like gabbs here” he all but growled and said “ You don’t call me that here and mumbled something else I couldn’t hear but I just laughed and said “ aww come on gabbs don’t be a meany” and he glared at me and I put my hands up. She gave me a set of papers and said you can email me the papers or just send a pic to my number and handed me a peice of paper with her name and number on it and left. I looked at the time and saw I had 15 mins to get to my kids school and I all but gave him a kiss and said “ Gotta go hun I’ll see you later on?” And he genuinely smiled and said “ Of course beautiful I’ll pick you up at 7. I ran out and jumped in my car and drove to the kids school.

I got to my kids school and i was ggod on time and i waited they would be out in five minutes. I saw everyone come out and me just waiting for my kids to come out but they never do. I started to freak out so i went in the the school. I got to the school’s office and i immediately went to the principals office and i started to yell “ Where is my kids? They never came out and i dropped them off  this morning!” He became worried and started to check the logs and said “ Oh my god i was starting to get worried but they were picked up by their dad “  i started to panic as soon as the word came out his mouth and i covered my face and my phone went off all at the same time. He was worried and asked “is everything ok?” i just looked at him like my life was completely over and i responded “ The kids father hasnt been in their life in over a year and now i have no idea where my kids are because a man that i denied money to has an agenda to really turn my life into a living hell” He was horrified at my words and immediately started to pick up the phone and before i knew it he was reporting it to the cops and i was lost in my mind and i was completely mortified and what made it worse my mind couldnt stop thinking that he wanted to hurt me and he took my babies to accomplish that goal. Where is my babies and why did he take them? At that moment when i thought all life was hell he walked in and gave me the biggest hug and said “ Im so sorry we will find them i promise Scarlett!!” with no hesitation and he got even closer and whispered in my ear “ I have our best trackers looking for Maddy and Jake i promise we will find them soon!”
