Finally I Found Her

Trevers P.O.V.

I was lost in thought when my best friend, Alpha Zak, called me to his office. "Trever, Mat is out sick, and our Luna doesn't want anyone else around her sister during this time. I need you to fill in for him. She is the only patient you have to work with today," he said, sitting behind his desk. I couldn't help but feel annoyed. "Are you kidding me Zak, I have other things too?" I said in a burst of frustration. "No, I'm not kidding, she is important to our Luna," he shot back. I stood up and stormed out of his office, "If you see your Luna, tell her I want to see her." he shouted as I flung his door open.

On my way to the stairs, I met Luna Ana and said, "Zak is in his office, he was just asking me to send you in. I'm off to take care of your sister." Before she could say anything, I headed down the stairs. Once I made my way out of the packhouse, my phone rang. I looked at the callers I.D. I answered the call, "Yes mom?"

"What are you doing, son?" mom asked. "Taking care of some pack duty stuff," I replied. "When are you going to come home for dinner? Your sister is coming home from college, and she has found her mate," she said. "I don't know mom, we have been super busy dealing with pack stuff," I said, trying to beat around the bush. "We are having dinner next Friday. If you are free, you are more than welcome to join," my mother said with a hint of sadness in her voice. "Look mom, I will think about it, but I need to go, I have work to do. I love you, ma," I said bluntly, hanging up before she could argue.

I stopped by the café on my way to the hospital to get coffee and lunch. I ordered the same thing I always get: three fish tacos and two triple-decker cheeseburgers. While waiting for my food at the café pick-up window, the gush of wind sent a faint scent he couldn't quite figure out. When the worker came back to the window, I paid with my card, then grabbed my card and food, then walked away. Walking to the pack hospital, my wolf Bleaker started to stir. I couldn't figure it out.

When I reached the main doors to the pack hospital, I walked through and my wolf started howling as the most amazing scent hit my nose. She smelled of strawberries and cream, with a hint of chocolate. My legs led me to a room. When I looked up and saw the room number, I realized it was the luna's sister's room. Then it dawned on me. I pushed her door open and walked to the bed where she was lying. She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. When I reached out and touched her face, I felt it, the sparks or the mate bond.

When I touched her face and felt the mate bond, her eyes snapped open and our eyes met. I slammed my lips on hers when I heard her croak out the only word that mattered: "Mate." When I pulled back, all I could do is apologize for not saving her earlier, but she just told me it wasn't my fault. I called for the doctor to come check her over. I kept a close eye on him as Dr. Bift entered the room, "Beta Trever, she seems to be doing better. May I ask why you are holding her so close to you?" he asked me nervously. "She is my mate. Why should I not hold her?" I shot out, sounding harsh, but my wolf was irritated that he was questioning us. " Beta, that's not what I meant. I was just asking, but that is wonderful news. Having your mate close will help the healing,"he said as he turned to my mate.

"The Luna has been deeply worried about you. I just have to check on your breathing and to look at your stitches and burn patches. Then I will notify our Alpha and Luna," Dr. Bift said while checking her body.

"I've notified the Alpha and Luna, Beta," he continued.

I honestly didn't want him to call them yet, just a few minutes of peace and solitude with my mate. "Kara, I know this is soon, but before they get here, I must ask. When you are discharged and able to leave, where would you want to be? The pack house with me or a cottage close to the pack house?" I said. "If you want a cottage but not alone, we can share one, but if you want the pack house you'll be with me anyway. Eitherway, we will be together, but that will be your choice. You can think about it, but if it's a cottage then it will take a short time to prepare," I continued.

"I think I want a cottage. I don't want to be in the same place as the pack cells, at least for now. Something I can pour my heart and soul into it," Kara said softly. I couldn't help the flutter in my heart, my mate, my sweet Kara. She was so traumatized that she didn't want to be anywhere near the pack house or the pack house. I would make sure her cottage was built exactly how she wants it built. "Okay Kara, I will have an architect come sit down with us, and we can design a cottage to your perfect liking. You can make it two stories and have 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. We have to have lots of room for all our pups and plenty of bathrooms," I responded.

I heard her snicker and she replied, "How many pups do you think we are going to have? Because my tea pot can only hand maybe 3 births." I buried my face in her neck and thanked the goddess, that I was blessed with a strong mate. "I plan to take all the time you want before we reach that point. That is if you want pups," I said silently, praying that she would want them. I don't know if I could handle it. If I couldn't, then I would be able to have a few mini versions of us running around. Now that I had found her, I would do anything, be anything she needed or wanted. I want to give her a grand wedding, a big home, pups, and a long joyful life. "What is your pack like?" she suddenly asked.

"We have some pretty amazing members, amazing shops, diners, and we are only forty minutes from Port city," I said. I was happy she was asking about pack life and what it was like. That just means she is interested in making it her home as well. Today, everything I had been waiting for was finally being handed to me like I was getting the biggest gift on Christmas. We sat there just relaxing and talking as the doctors finished their check-up. About ten minutes had passed when Kara's room door burst open and Luna Ana rushed in and shouted "Kara" and ran up, throwing her arms around her sister and held her tight.

"Ana, please, you have to be careful; neither of you are in the condition to hurt yourselves. I would hate it if the doctor put you both on restrictions. Plus, the doctor had already said you needed to be careful, or you were going on bed rest, and NO arguing." Zak said to Ana. Zak then continued, "I'm sure T wants to have time with his mate that's not interrupted. I'm sorry we just busted in and not knocked T. "She said she wants a cottage, Luna. I said. We all spent a good hour talking and visiting before Luna Ana got tired and went to take her nap. It was finally just back to the two of us. I climbed in next to her and held her close to me, allowing our heartbeats to slowly become one rhythm.

"I love you Kara, you are my world," I whispered in her ear.
