“Hey, can we talk?” Mom approaches me while I am talking to LJ and asks if we can talk. I tell her that we can. We finished breakfast about an hour ago and sat down to chat, but Kyler's parents have since gone upstairs.
The staff are cleaning, and Kyler's grandfather is about to leave for Switzerland, returning in two days. Milo and Kyler are about to take him to the plane, and I assume my mother is calling me to finally have the discussion which I had been thinking about all morning.
I tell LJ we will finish catching up later and then follow my mother upstairs to my old room. Even though Mom has returned to work, she hasn’t moved back in here. She’s still staying in her house, so we have to talk in my old room.
