THE BILLIONAIRE'S HEARTS.

Doris POV. "Miss Doris, I demand an explanation for your summer project!" Mr. Ronald, the CEO, instructed, his tone sharp and deep. "Of course, sir," I replied, my heart racing as I stood up from my chair, clutching my laptop tightly. The conference room is styled in a U shape format, so I proceeded to the frontal stand provided for speakers. After walking a few steps , I got to the stand and carefully placed my laptop on the table. I dipped my right hand into the pocket of my trousers and brought out my pocket handkerchief, to clean the beads of sweat off my face. This is my first project presentation at Cascade Designs. Cascade Designs is one of the top fashion designer companies in Alaska. I put so much effort in preparing this project because my future depends on it, but I didn't know that presenting it would be difficult for me. I became very nervous. "Where do I even begin? How do I start?" I silently pondered, trying to steady my thoughts. Summoning my courage, I finally spoke, "Good day, everyone! My name is Doris Kearns..." I curiously moved my eyeball left and right to see the reaction of others, but I couldn't believe who my eyes saw. At first, I thought it was my imagination but when I looked towards the ID card clipped on the shirt, then I knew it was really him. He noticed that I was staring at him, so he winked at me with a smile on his face. I smiled back at him and focused on what I needed to do. After the meeting, the CEO invited me into his office. " Miss Doris, you did a very great job" Mr. Ronald said as he approached his desk, he then continued, " Even my client commented on your presentation, I'm really impressed". "Thank you sir. As an intern I need to deliver my best for the company" I replied. Mr. Ronald picked up a file from his desk, "That reminds me. You need to sign these papers. It contains what your internship is all about." he explained and handed over the file to me."Without signing it, you won't be able to receive your salary by the end of the month" he added. I collected the file from him and he brought up another work related discussion. After we finished our discussion, I left the CEO'S office. I furiously walked out of the door and I mistakenly bumped into a guy. The file I was holding slipped off my hand and landed on the floor. "I'm so sorry, I'm in a hurry" I apologized, while keeping my face to the ground. I bent down to pick the files and then I realized the guy did the same. Paused for a Moment. We were both staring at each other. His face was adorned with striking blue eyes that captured my admiration, framed by curly black hair. His pink lips added to his handsome appearance, complemented by dimples. A small mustache adorned his upper lip, enhancing the overall shape of his face. I noticed that he was the guy I saw earlier in the conference room. I also realized that he was only focused on my lips. So I quickly straightened up and adjusted my jacket, "Excuse me!", I exclaimed as I gave him a disgusted look. "I'm so sorry, I couldn't get my eyes off your daring smooth lips." He said and walked away. "Please Hold on! Are you by any chance Kelvin?" I politely asked, considering the fact I had just disrespected him. "Yes……..How may I help you?"He walked back to me, "You look familiar though. " "Don't you remember me? Your top admirer?" I questioned and walked closer to him. "Hmmmm…….. Doris? The girl that never stops staring at me in class? The girl that has always wanted to be my Val? Sharon International school ?........"he said, trying to remember every single detail. He added with a smile "Yes I know you and I remember every single thing". I moved closer to him and gave him a very tight hug " You jerk! You were trying to play me?". I couldn't help but adore the fragrance on his suit. He didn't react to my hug, " Don't you miss me? Why are you not reacting or showing any affection?", I questioned while my head was on his shoulders. "We are in an office building, let me go now!" Kelvin retorted. I felt comfortable on his body and I didn't want to let go, " See, the CEO is here", Kelvin added. Immediately, I distanced myself and noticed that the CEO wasn't present but I was already creating a scene. I looked into Kelvin's eyes "so you were teasing me?". " B****h! Don't try to snatch Kelvin from me" one of the workers shouted from nowhere. Kelvin pulled my arm saying "Let's leave the office premises!". "I need to get my handbag and necessary documents from my office" I demanded. He let go of me and I found my way to my office. All eyes were fixed on me and I felt uncomfortable. I grabbed what I needed and left the office premises. "Can we head over to my place?" Kelvin questioned. Kelvin wants to have a conversation with me but I need to visit my mother. "I'm sorry but I need to leave now, Kelvin. I understand we haven't seen each other in a long while but I need to go, it's very important". I could see the change of reaction in him but he agreed. We both exchanged numbers and immediately he gave me a peck of my lips. I smiled as I felt butterflies in my belly because this is the first time a guy's mouth is touching my lips. He grabbed my hand and stopped a cab for me. I got into the car and told the driver my destination. "See you around. Take care of yourself and don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything" Kelvin said as the car started motion. I waved him goodbye. After an hour's drive, I got to my destination. "Madam, your bill is 50 bucks" the driver said. I opened my handbag and brought out a $50 note. I stretched out my hand to the driver, "Here you go!", and exited the cab.
