Thank you for reading the first part of Amelia's story. I am an avid reader but it seems that all the romance books out there involve a barely 18-year-old who is abused and weak, then a strong man comes and saves her. I wanted to write something different. I wanted the woman to save herself and, please dear god not be 18. I wanted someone I could relate to and feel a connection with. That is how Amelia was born. A woman with fears and faults but someone who can grow and move forward instead of always looking back. Border City is based a lot on El Paso, Texas. A city between world. If you have ever visited the city, you know it's an American city that has deep roots in the Mexican culture. I love the people here and how the city seems to bridge both the wild-west stories we watche
