The Million Dollar Contract Marriage

ANNA POV I had a huge smile on my face. As I greeted the most popular family in New York. They were the Wilson family. The family is known for wealth. They have many companies, hotels and chains of businesses. The fifth generation of the Wilson family had many things to show off. That is how wealthy they are, but they are very arrogant. Consequently, I met one of them. "It's so nice to meet you too," I smiled at his mother and father who were in their huge backyard. There's this beautiful garden in their fancy mansion. The flowers there are all bright and happy, swaying gently as a soft breeze blows through. Surrounded by green trees, the couple sits on comfy chairs, just chilling and enjoying the peaceful vibe. You can even hear the sound of water from a nearby fountain, adding to the whole relaxing scene. It's like a little paradise, where one can forget about everything else. "Robert Wilson! You really made me proud. Finally, I can show off to my friends that my son has finally gotten for himself a beautiful lady, who will give birth to a grandson for me."" His father said and I smiled. ""I told you that I would bring my girlfriend back to you, right? And I kept my promise,"" Robert answered. I looked at him and chuckled. If only his parents knew that he was deceiving them. I'm Anna Scott. I work at a dating site. I met Robert on a dating site, he needed a girlfriend, and I needed the money, so I had to take up the job immediately. We don't know much about ourselves, because we met just yesterday, and I was forced to come see his parents today. "Anna! You are really beautiful, I'm sure your parents would be very glad to have you!"" His mom complimented me. I felt butterflies in my belly as I nodded in affirmation. Having heard it numerous times, I could potentially tell how beautiful I was with my striking emerald eyes and blond hair. Despite being an average height, the rest of my body features compensated for my appealing appearance. ""Thank you, but I brought myself up. I grew up in an orphanage, I was sent to school by the orphanage and became a business administrator"". I explained, but I lied, I have a family that I don't want to talk about. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn’t have brought that up," his mom apologized. She looked like someone with a clear heart and a very good mom too. "You don't know about it, so I don't blame you." I smiled. "So when did you two start dating?" His father asked. I pretended to think for a while and looked at him. ""We have been dating for six months now. I know it's not a long time, we have known each other so well, but I love Robert. We met in London and when he came back, I stayed to complete my studies. I just came back from London"" I explained. Robert looked at me. I'm sure he was surprised how I came up with this kind of lie. Well, this is not the first time that I have been lying like this, it's my job and I have to do it well. ""That's great! Then you will be able to help Robert with his company work since you studied business administration."" His father said and I just smiled a little smile. ""Sorry for our bad! Do you want anything?"" He asked and I shook my head. "Robert and I will be heading to a restaurant after this, so I don't want to fill my stomach, I'm someone that eats less," I replied. "I hope you don't mind?" I asked. "I'm already starting to love her!" His mom complimented him, looking at his father and Robert at the same time giggling. "You have to make sure to be dropping by every time," she added, and I nodded. ""And as for you, Robert, I don't want to hear that you did anything wrong to her. If not, I won't take it lightly with you, right Rian?"" She asked her husband, who pointed at Robert and added. "I would deal with you if I heard anything of such!" If only they knew that our relationship wasn't true. ""Why do you two seem interested in her and not me? I'm I truly your son?"" He asked arrogantly. Does he even know his action can affect both of us? I crossed my left leg over my right leg and looked at him. ""Shut up Robert! You had better stop your arrogant talk, you have a girlfriend and someone who will soon be your wife. I wonder how Anna could tolerate your attitude."" His Mom yelled at him. I seriously don't think I would tolerate it, but I need the money and I have to stay calm and achieve what I want, even though I have to stoop this low for it. "Are you now saying she shouldn't marry me, that someone else is good for her and not me?" He asked. I nearly choked on the cup of water I was sipping. "I didn't say that I'm only warning you to work on your habit, now that you'll soon be a husband and father."" “OK, even if that's what you meant, I'm not ready to marry another person apart from Anna, because I would have to focus on my company." He added. ""Don't use that to get to us. We know you care so much about the company, but you should calm down and work on your relationship more. Your secretary is there to help you out. Find a suitable choice of company for Anna to work with you."" His father said, and I looked at him. Even though this is what I want, I don't want to jump at it or take advantage of anybody because of something that wasn't even real in the first place. ""I'm sorry, but I don't think I would accept it. I have a company I'm working with, and it would be a very big loss if I left them, and you know Robert won't miss me much if I'm too close to him. I can always offer help when needed. Because if I want this relationship to work out fine and for him to cherish me, I will have to stay a little bit far from him, mom, you should know what I'm talking about."" I said and his mom laughed. ""You're right my daughter, distance makes your partner yearn for you more. Have you been in a relationship before?"" She asked and I nodded. "It didn't work out, so I cut all the ties," I answered. ""We have to leave now, we have somewhere to go. If you have anything to say again, you can drop it with me, I'll send the message to Anna", Robert concluded with finality in his tone, and we stood up about to go. "Anna!" I suddenly heard a familiar voice from behind and Looking up, it was actually someone I knew, it was none other than Chris.
