s**t!!!
SHIT!!!
Brakk!!!
The sound of The sound of glass breaking was the start of a contentious conversation, like a person venting his anger. venting his anger.
The sky over New York was clear, but the atmosphere atop the skyscraper owned by Thornfield Enterprises was far from it. owned by Thornfield Enterprises is far from it. Alexander Thornfield, a man with reputation as an eccentric and flamboyant billionaire, stands tall with his arms folded across his chest. folded across his chest. His piercing gray eyes stare coldly at the two people in front of him: the head doctor of a famous fertility clinic and the woman who was was supposed to be part of his plan.
The room at the top of the building was spacious, with windows that offered views of the entire city. However, the atmosphere inside felt cramped as tension built up.
“You guys really made a big mess!!!,” Alex's voice broke the silence, cool and controlled, but his every word pierced like a dagger. “I gave you a simple responsibility-follow the plan. But look what happened now.”
The head doctor, a middle-aged woman who was usually full of confidence, could only look down. Her guilt was evident on her face. Next to her, Alex's partner, the woman who was supposed to be the child's biological mother, was looking anxious, bowing her head while clutching her hands in her lap.
“Mr. Thornfield,” the head doctor finally spoke, her voice low. “We deeply apologize for this incident. This error was... unexpected, and we-”
“Unexpected? unexpected?” Alex cut in, his voice rising an octave. He stepped forward, making both men back away reflexively. “Unexpected is rain on a sunny day. This is unacceptable carelessness!”
The couple next to the head doctor tried to speak, his voice trembling. “Alex, I don't know how this happened. I just-”
“Shut up!” Alex cut in sharply. His eyes blazed with an anger that was hard to contain. “I have given everything to make sure this plan goes perfectly. I chose you because I thought you could be trusted. But now? You're just making everything more complicated!”
Thoughts “Because of you guys, all my plans are in chaos”. Alex said with his annoyed expression.
His plan was clear from the start: he didn't have time to build a family in the traditional way, but he knew he wanted to leave a legacy-children who could continue the Thornfield dynasty. continue the Thornfield dynasty.
Insemination was the most logical solution, a way to control every aspect without wasting time. wasting time. However, this mess had ruined everything.
“You guys know how much I've sacrificed for this?” Alex turned around, trying to to control his emotions. “And now that child-the child that was supposed to be born under my control-is in the womb of a woman I don't even know!”
“Mr. Thornfield, we will take full responsibility....” The Head Doctor tried to to calm him down.
“What your responsibility? This mistake has gone too far.” Alex spoke holding his head down languidly.
The head doctor swallowed, not daring to look directly at him. “We have rechecked, Mr. Thornfield. That woman... she's another patient. Her name is Aurora Blake.”
Alex paused for a moment. The name didn't sound familiar, but he couldn't remember it. “Who is she?”
“She's an an interior design consultant, a regular client at our hospital,” replied the the doctor stammered.
As the conversation continued, the ringtone of the phone echoed in Alex's room.
Kring!
Kring!
Alex picked up the phone and answered it irritably, “Don't disturb me! I'm in the middle of an important conversation!”
Voice “I'm sorry Mr. Thornfield, I just wanted to let you know that the officials are coming and meeting soon. just wanted to let you know that the officials have arrived and the meeting is about to start. will begin.”
“Is that so? I'll be there as soon as I finish this”. Alex replied trying to ease his irritation.
“Hufft, I'm going on business soon, so solve this problem”. Then Alex fell silent, trying to calm himself down. He took a deep breath, then glanced at the couple who were still sitting awkwardly next to the doctor.
“You,” he said, pointing at the woman. “You can leave now. I don't have time to talk with you anymore.”
The woman next to the doctor stood up, her face full of guilt, and left without another word. After the door closed, Alex looked back at the doctor.
“I want to see that woman,” he said in a firm tone. “Make sure she's brought here. I want to speak to her directly.”
“Yes Mr. Thornfield, I will prepare her, once again I apologize profusely.” The doctor said with his deepest regret.
The head doctor nodded nervously and left the room.
When he was finally alone, Alex stood in front of the window, looking out at the city lights that were starting to come on. She tried to calm herself, but the thought of the strange woman now carrying her flesh and blood continued to haunt her.
“Well, Miss Aurora Blake,” he muttered to himself. “We'll see what you're like.”
