Chantel “Chantel where is your man,isn’t he supposed to be here yet?”My best friend Elaine screamed into my ear. I turned 24 today and my best friend Elaine threw a huge birthday party for me, It’s the first time anybody has ever surprised me in my entire life. I was going to Christian’s home because his house was closer and he lived close to the strip club where I worked so it’d be easy to go work the next day from his place.I knew he’d be at home because he said he was feeling unwell so I didn’t bother to call to inform him that I’d be sleeping over at his place. When I got to his place,i opened the door with the spare key I always carried with me because I slept here most of the time.When I opened the door,I saw a woman’s heels and bags that I’m very sure didn’t belong to me. I should have known he was seeing someone else or maybe I did know but I just chose to continue living in my delusion and hoping that things would go back to the way it used to be. I stopped a taxi and asked him to take me to the Night grove bar,it was far from this place and I knew I wouldn’t bump into anybody I knew because I just wanted to drink till I’m wasted and cry myself to sleep. When we got to the bar,I paid the driver and stepped into the bar.I heard about this place from Elaine because she wouldn’t stop talking about how rich and hot the men who came to this place to unwind were. I knew drinks here would be expensive but I might as well spend my money on myself for once since I wouldn’t t be paying that assholes rent anymore. I strolled to the bartender and asked for a drink. “I need a Bloody Mary mixed with vodka,double”i said He looked at me and smiled probably knowing that i was having a bad day,he didn’t bother to make small talk and I was thankful for that. I looked around the place and it wasn’t really full,there were a few men here and they were cute,even the bartender was hot.Elaine wasn’t lying at all. When he was done with my drinks,i drank one immediately and I took my second drink and started to walk to an empty table when my phone started to ring,I reached into my bag but I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going and then I hit something rock hard and my drink spilled on my dress. “Oh s**t”I exclaimed I looked up to see what I actually hit and standing in front of me was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen.
