Chapter 3 A bolt of lightning struck Dylan’s chest and coursed through his body. It didn’t stop until it shot from his fingertips. The pain was minimal, but the fear it caused had him screaming. Any second his heart would explode and end him. Death was an enigma, and now he stared it in the eye. “No!” His voice boomed as he sprang into a sitting position. He gripped the edge of the passenger seat and blinked. The passing cars and blacktop made it difficult to focus. No longer standing in the middle of a field, he shook as reality washed over him. He rubbed his hand over the scruff on his face. Another dream. Damn it. They were getting the best of him. How long would it take him to lose the rest of his sanity? Eyes weighed on him as he gazed across the dashboard to the steering wheel. H
