*Back to present* I found the local high schools and found three. One was for die hard sports players and performers such as the band and choir. The second was called early college and was only academics. The last was career training with several different buildings. They had everything from construction to cosmetology to early childhood education to engineering of all kinds. They have a program for you to have all the aspects but it is very hard to get into. I choice Racers High program so that way I would be challenged and it would be the next best thing to a private school. A family comes in and they look familiar until I realize that they are the family that Max and Alex went with. Just as that chicks they guys walk in holding hands with the twins girls. They don't even notice me or seem to recognize me and that hurt but I shook it off. I was always tough to never show weakness no matter what. "You must be Samantha," The woman says with a fake smile. "Yes I am," I stated not fooled by her fake smile. "What private school are you going to?" The man ask in a hard tone. "There has been a slight change in plans. I will be attending public school and I will part take in the Racers High Program," I stated. "We we told to take you to a private school no discussion," The woman said harshly. Just as she said that Adrian walked in looking tired with no shirt on. He looked at me with love in his eyes and I walked over to him only to have him back way. I saw then that he was hungry and my closeness was not helping. "We aren't going to wait all day," The twins said angry. "You will show some respect for my wife or I will have your heads," Adrian said showing his fangs. "Yes Mr. Adrian Knight," The mother said disrespectfully. "Is that disrespect I hear in my house to my son and his mate," Sir Knight came into the room angry making the family step back against the door. "Sam what public school did you pick," He asked with kindness. "The Racers High Program. You have to be accept into it and then it will be like a private school taking place in the public schools," I answered. "Adrian will now go with you once he eats. I am sorry for their attitude and it will be taken care of right away," He said smiling at me before he turned to deal with them. I followed Adrian to his room where he was drink blood from a blood bag and me being me wasn't bothered by it like any other human would be. Adrian looked at me in horror and shame as if he needed to be ashamed about what he is. I didn't like that look it made me feel rejected and sad. He didn't want me to see that side of him but it is who he is so I tried to walk up to him nut he back away from me. He tried to Keep stepping backwards every time I made a step toward him until he was against the wall. Then I had him trap and I was able to comfort him and I wrapped his arms around as I pulled him in for a hug. He pulled me closer but I could also feel his hunger and I could feel him fight it as we were that close. "Drink," I told him as I moved my head to the side giving him a clear view of my neck. I know he tried to resist but I also knew his hunger was in great need as well. In my heart I knew he wouldn't hurt me so I let him drink. When he finally gave in, I felt no pain when he sank his teeth into my neck. In fact the act turned me on and I wanted nothing but him. When he had his fill I was still turned on wanting to feel his arms around me and he must have felt it as well for he held me close as he kissed me passionately. It was more passionate than I had ever had with anyone before. Since my first time being physical with anyone, I had never made love. With him it felt right and I just want him and only him. After several hours, Sandra was looking for us and walking in as Adrian and I were getting out the shower. I didn't notice her at first but Adrian did and when he froze I turned around. She stood there staring at us with her normal pale red eyes almost black. Our eyes met and for the first time in my life I had a hard time looking her in the eye. It appeared she did as well because we both looked away at the same time. "Get dressed and then we are taking a ride to talk," Sandra said clearly pissed off and walked out. Once she left I still couldn't stop staring at the spot she was just at. It was like I was frozen in fear and I had no idea if she even approved of me.  I stared to panic while Adrian looked at me confused. He was trying to talk to me but I couldn't hear him until he dropped us to the floor and he just held me. Finally my mind came back and I realized she was waiting for us so we dressed and walked out to wear she was waiting. Sandra's eyes started to go back to their natural color but she still looked pissed while also looking happy. Her eye said she was still pissed but her face held a small smile. Now she was no longer trying to stare me down which I found as a good sign she wasn't going to kill me anytime soon. "Samantha we have to get you signed up for school and I heard you liked the Racers High program. We only have an hour before their registration closes for this year," She said and walked outside to the car. We followed her outside and this time, unlike the last time I was outside, it was sunny but cloudy. Now I know where we are at because I used to walk past here all the time on my way to work. I feel like I haven't been outside in ages when its just been a day and while they run to the car I take my time. Then I think Vampires don't mix well with the sun and therefore I should hurry up. When I go to the car, I noticed that the windows were tinted and protected them from the sunlight. "Lady Knight about what you saw back there," I began but she cut me off. "It is Sandra or you can call me mom. Whatever you like as long as you don't use my formal name," She smiled. "Sammy-Joe don't worry about it, I will take care of it," Adrian said turning towards his mother. "Sammie I think you should learn more about our culture before you go and do that again. In our world when we drink from another it is only at a marriage between the man and wife. We never take blood from humans like that and Adrian shouldn't have have done that but even so you should never offer again. It is disrespectful thing to do before you are fully mated. You will be keeping your distance from Adrian and he from you. Am I understood," She said looking me dead in the eyes and I couldn't look her dead in the eyes. The first time ever I looked away first and when I realized that I was a shamed I never backed down before but still said nothing. The rest of the ride was silent and I just got lost in my thoughts. I couldn't figure out Sandra and why she felt the way she did. Who would care that I gave Adrian permission to drink from me. It's not like they had to watch it that it affected them in any way. Everything about them started to confuse me. I had really strong feeling for Adrian, no matter that we have only just met. I felt a pull towards him that I've never felt before and it confused me so much that I would have to learn more about the vampire culture. I became so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice we arrived until the car pulled to a stop. Adrian stayed in the and Sandra only came in for a minute to sign some paper work giving me permission to go through the test to part take in the Racers High Program. After Sandra left I had no idea where to go and everyone around me already seemed to know the routine of what to do. I did the only thing I could do. I went up to the first person I saw that looked like they could point me in the right direction. There was a lady just standing there going over some paper work. "Hello, Ma'am I need some direction on where I need to be going," I said polity. She looked me over for a few minutes. She looked at my height and my waist as if judging my weight. A few times she nodded her head as she walked around me. It was starting to get creepy but before I could escape her she stopped in front of me gaining my attention. "Your name?" She asked. "Samantha Josephine Wilson," I answered and she looked through her papers. She found one with my name on and looked it over. "We have an orientation for you. I will take you to the office where you will meet with Mr. Will before you get to move farther into the process," She said. She led me to a room full of desk, which I assume is the office she was referring to. A man sat in there going over some files when we walked in. I waited outside the room as they talked for a bit. I almost got the feeling they forgot I was right outside the door with how long they were taking. She came out and nodded to me before taking off. Now a man came out and looked me over before saying "We only allow the best in our program with no expectations. You have a very serious criminal backround up until a year ago. Would you care to share." "It is in the past and I would like to move on from it. I have been on perfect behavior for the last year since I got away from where I was at. If you do not mind I don't want to think about for I haven't thought about it in awhile," I lied smoothly. "What activities were you involved in other than the criminal ones?" He asked harshly. "I was on the dance team and my first year was the first time we went to championships in over 20 years. Not only did we go but we won as well. I was in choir and band. I play Bass guitar, Drums, Piano, Violin, Cello, and Clarinet," I answered. "I see you are way ahead of your age group in school. You could have graduated already but yet you stay in high school," He said confused. "I wasn't allowed to graduate early before and I just keep taking more classes because I was bored and I also have taken some college classes as well. Sports were never part of my idea but I had some friends and we would practice together. They got on the football team the next year after failing twice before," I explained. "Would you consider joining any now?" He asked. "I don't know. The reason for me never trying out for any sorts teams is because I don't like the mentality of how you get on the team. Those who don't make it or are seen below them, they get bullied and I do not agree with that," I explained. "We will have another conversation one this once I get more of your records. If you pass all the qualification we will talk again. Today we have academic testing but since I know that you are more than capable of our normal testing I will show you some paper test that college students are taking this year," He said. "If you know I will already pass what you have the others doing then why are you having me take a harder test that no one else is taking?" I asked. "You have a big criminal history and I don't understand how it is possible for you to even have the test scores you do. In these test I have an IQ test for you because you have to have a high IQ with all that I've found," He said. He lead me to a desk with a computer and beside it there was several testing packets. He set a calculator beside me and a pen. "I can't use a calculator but I'll need scrap paper," I said and he took the calculator and brought me scrap paper. "Now you don't have a set time but we will be timing you to see how long it takes you to complete all three test. You may now begin," He said looking at his watch. The first test I took was college level algebra and I was always good in algebra. In fact I got nothing but 100% on everything I did. That test took me no more than an hour. I moved onto the second test packet that was half science and half about the history of the government . My two worst subjects that I got a B on almost every test. The college level stuff was mostly things I had yet to learn and I was sweating and struggled through them. The last test packet was writing and reading. That was a breeze seeing as I could read and write before I started kindergarten. "That is impressive," He said as he looked over my shoulder. As I finished the last test and all three took 3 1/2 hours. "I have to admit that the writing and reading I've done before. I have taken a few college classes already and I started school already knowing how to read and write," I said proud of myself. "Now for the IQ test," He said as he logged onto the computer. He got the test site up and left me to take the test without distraction. The guy didn't come back by the time I was done so I went out to where I saw him leave. He was sitting at a desk going over my previous test and clearly didn't expect me to be done yet because when he looked up his eyes got wide. "Are you done already?" He question looking at the clock. "Yes sir," I answered. "It looks like you have passed today's test. You scored about the same as a college student who barely goes to class and for someone who hasn't taken those classes it's impressive. As for the teat that goes with a class you've already taken you passed that one. Tomorrow I will give you your IQ score but for now almost all the testing is done so off you go but be here tomorrow morning at 7am and no later," He said and I left. finished with the first testing day and I planed on walking back to the house but as I walked outside I found that Sandra was there. She was waiting for me with smile but the weird thing was Adrian wasn't with her nor was her husband. "How did it go?" She asked. "My criminal history almost killed my chances but my academic performance was impressive and therefore they gave me a chance. I got through today and I have to come back tomorrow at 7am," I said excited. "You have a criminal history?" She asked confused. "Yes I do. I grew up in several different houses and each was worse than the last. I did some drug runs for extra cash and I was always getting kicked out of stores for causing problems when it was a distraction for us to get some stuff to sell. In the hood you have to stand up for yourself so I got into several fights and the neighbors always called the cops. I've done some street racing and car theft as well. I spent almost every weekend in jail when the cops break up a party with drugs and underage drinking or for the cops thinking I did something because I was hanging two or three blocks from the crime," I said as if it was no big deal. "Colleges won't look twice at you with all that," Sandra said frustrated. "I know and once I am 18 and the records get sealed," I said "Have you thought about what colleges yet?" She asked. "No not really and why are making a big deal out of college. You do  know that now everyone goes right?" "You are my sons mate and that makes you my daughter. I want the best for as I want for my son and he has already looked at some college that have a high population of vampires. I just wanted to know what your plans were for the future," She said. "I don't really know what I want to do. There are many things I would like to do but I am not sure if it will be possible," I said. "What are some of the many things?" She asked. "I want to be a published writer or maybe have a clothing line or do something with music," I said. "You do know that those are hard fields to find a job in right?" She asked looking at me sideways. "Yes I know and that is why I am doing that on my own time and not going to go to school for that. I know I am going to minor in Psychology but I am not sure about my major," I said as we pulled up to the house. That was the end of our discussion because when we got back there were several people there and it was loud. Everyone was talking at once and I spotted Max and Alex away from everyone else in the back of the room just leaning up against the wall. Adrian was hard to find but I finally found him in the middle of the room with his head hung low. I went to go towards him but Sandra pulled me back and Knight came over to stand with us and I didn't understand what was going on. I felt how much pain Adrian was in but I couldn't understand what the cause of his pain was and I need to get to him. This time when Sandra pulled my arm to keep me in place I ripped my arm out of her grip and ran towards Adrian.
