When Ward pulled up in front of the house, Tyler was sitting on the front porch steps waiting for him. He got up and hopped in Ward’s truck. “Damn, that was close,” he said as he gave Ward’s leg a squeeze. Relieved Tyler had apparently not changed his mind about that night, Ward asked, “Where to?” “We better not go to The Pub. Let’s go over to Westbrook. It’s bigger, nobody much knows us there.” As they drove along, Tyler mused again at what a chance they had taken in showering together and how much more careful they should be. “Who knows,” Ward said. “Maybe Hank and Tim were there for the same reason we were.” “Nah,” Tyler replied, shaking his head. “Didn’t you notice their d***s? They were both at half-mast.” Tyler looked at his friend dubiously. “Summerville isn’t in a vacuum,”
