His Mate

Chapter 3

Ares's POV

    When I came into the ballroom I never thought that I will find her. I smelled her from the moment the ceremony began and when I saw her with Aaron I shifted. How the hell did he dare touch her? I will kill him! When she turned around and I saw her beautiful blue eyes I felt my wolf calm. I linked with my beta and my omega and told them to take her to my room as I shifted and looked at Aaron.

    "She is mine" I hissed at him and he looked at me with envy.

    "Ares" he said

    "Aaron never ever dare touch her again if you know what is better for you." I said, "I will f*****g kill you and anyone who will dare to look at her the way you did."

    "I know, I would do the same even if she wasn't my mate." he said

    "How dare you?!" I said grabbing his neck with rage

    "She is my Beta's daughter and I wanted her to be my Luna if she didn't find her mate tonight" he said and I let him go. Because I appreciated that he was honest and because I saw in his eyes that he understood that she was mine now.

    "Ares please be careful. She is fragile and she is a wonderful woman." he said and left the mansion.

    When I came to my room and had that talked with her I was amazed. She was strong, she was able to push the mate bond and she was a perfect Luna. However, I was wondering if I will be able to convince her to become one. I am not an emotional person, I am sure that as ruthless as I am she will never change her mind if I will not change my behavior. But I am the f*****g Alpha, I can't let some chick control me since I wanna become the King.

    After leaving her in my room I went downstairs to talk to my pack members "Jack, I need you to take her to the mall tomorrow and do some shopping with her. She has nothing to wear and I don't need someone gossiping that I don't take care of my mate" I said to my Beta and he just nodded and left.

    "Is she really your mate? Are you going to mark her?" I hear Amy, one of the pack members asking me.

    "Why the f**k do you care?" I asked

    "Ares, you and I have something, I can feel it. Can't you just reject her and be with me?"

    Amy was a very attractive woman with long blond hair and a curvy body. I started sleeping with her over a year ago and it was okay. I needed to f**k, after all, I am a man with needs and she was always very flirty with me so I just took the opportunity and started f*****g her. But the feeling I had for my mate was beyond some quick f**k with Amy.

    "Be my guest!" I heard Elizabeth's voice answering before I could even respond to Amy and looked to find her standing in the door looking at me and Amy.

    Amy took the opportunity to get closer when I was looking at some documents and when Elizabeth answered her, Amy was standing on my desk giving me a great view of her t**s.

    "Amy, leave!" I said and she looked shocked

    "Why, Ares? After all, she is your mistress. And as far as I understood you two were great together before I came. You can go back to being together if you just let me go. I can go back to my pack and..."

    "Don't you f*****g dare finish that sentence!" I growled at her, startling Amy and I turned to Amy "Leave!" I yelled at her and she stood up and left with a pout. I really didn't care at the moment.

    "Stop bossing me around" Elizabeth said

    "Why the f**k are you damn stubborn? Why do you keep trying to piss me?" I asked taking a few steps in her direction.

    She closed her eyes and I saw as she took a deep breath before she said "I don't want a life of suffering Ares. We started on the wrong foot and I just need to clarify something." she looked at me.

    "I am all ears" I said waiting to see where was she pointing at.

    "I will never become a mate that will be cheated on. I never had a man kiss me or even touch me and as sure as hell I will not start now. You may be handsome, powerful and anything you want, but I will never let that or the mate bond get me blind and overcome cheating or suffering." I was shocked.

    "Anything else?" I asked.

    "I will think about it and will let you know. Now, where is my room?" she asked

    "You will be staying with me"

    "But there is only one bed in that room." she said shocked

    "Yeah, and that my sweet little wolf is our bed."

    "You must be joking. I can't sleep with you."

    "Yeah? And why is that?"

    "Because... because..."

    "Liz, I don't care what excuse you wanna come with, you will be sleeping with me in our bedroom so stop blabbering around and go get ready. I will be up in a few minutes."

    "Are you going to check on your doll? The one that just left?" she asked.

    "Is that jealousy I am feeling from you right now?" I said smirking

    "Never mind. But just to let you know, if you come to the bedroom and I smell that pretty girl on you I am having your balls" she said and left.

    I stood there shocked. Where was all this coming from? Where the hell has this woman been until now? Maybe the fact that I never knew my mom made me an emotionless man and a womanizer, but this girl, this mate of mine was giving me the feeling that her balls are bigger then mine if she has them.

    I went to do the checks in the pack like I always do and when I got to Amy's house, Jack was there waiting for me."Ares, maybe it's better if I do the checks here from now on" he said

    "And why is that?" I asked surprised by his attitude.

    "I am your friend before being you beta and I will tell you something you never knew. When my mom and dad found each other, my dad was whoring around a lot. She let him mark her, but he still had some mistress and did his old thing. Every time he slept with one of them, my mom could feel it and I saw how that has destroyed her. I asked my dad to reject my mom, however, he just couldn't let her go. One night when I came back from the training I found my mom dead in her bedroom, she took her life."

    "I don't get what are you trying to tell me." I said

    "My mom left me a note and said that she just couldn't take the pain anymore. So, I am telling you this because I want our Luna to be happy and for you to become the King that you so much want to be. Amy will try always, I know her and that is why it's better if I will to the checks from now on." he said

    "Jack, I never knew. I am sorry, bro. But you now I would never..."

    "Ares, I am sorry, but you would. Only if you wanna reject our Elizabeth, then that is another story."

    "What the f**k?" 

    "If you reject her, I could always mark her as mine. He is beautiful and intelligent and I would be more than proud to have a woman like her by my side." he said looking at me

    "Don't you even dare to think about it! Did you hear me? I don't give a f**k that you are my best friend, I will f*****g kill anyone who will dare to even think about her that way!" I said and he started laughing. "You were f*****g with my head?"

    "Yes, I was and I am glad I did it. You have fallen, my friend!" he said

    "What the f**k are you talking about?" I asked

    "You will see. Now I have to go to finish the checks. Go home Alpha." he said and left me there.

    I turned around and left for home. During my run to the house, I was wondering what the hell was he talking about. Little did I knew that my best friend has seen something that I missed.

    I got home and when I entered the bedroom, where she was sleeping on my bed. She was dressed in one of my favorite t-shirts and her red lips in a pout. I went to the bathroom and took a shower, a really cold one since only the view of her sleeping in my bed made me hard as a rock. I wanted, no, I needed to get to know her better. I wanted her to need me and want me the same way I needed and wanted here. I got in bed and she just came near me and took me in her arms putting her head on my chest and snuggling her nose in my neck. That reaction took my surprise, but I didn't mind and I took her in my arms and went to sleep.
