Rocky knew he was being a bit harsh towards Autumn. He couldn’t say he wouldn’t have done the same thing had he been in her situation. After days of empty promises to get information on her brother, she still remained without him. Thinking of all the trouble she could have gotten herself into having run off on her own with some halfcocked plan made him angry all over again. She could have gotten herself killed.
Glancing in his rear-view mirror to the back of the truck, he had to smile at the joy he saw in her brother’s eyes at having been reunited with his big sister.
