Chapter 14
Autumn
Autumn slept fitfully through the night. She had only been staying with Rocky for two nights, but not having him next in bed to her made her anxious. It was also the thought that they were in a weird place. She had to admit he had been right about being all gas and no breaks, but that didn’t mean she wanted to slow things down. Especially if it meant they’d be spending time apart from each other physically.
Just then she heard Brody stir in his sleep. That was a wakeup call for her. Rocky had also been right that they both needed to put Brody first. Autumn should have done it a long time ago, but she hadn’t. She was about to make up for lost time, or at least try. Her years of being selfish were over.
