Autumn
“Do you work today?” Autumn asked Chelsie, who was lounging on the couch.
“Nope. I’m on my six-day break. What’s up?”
“I start my new job today and I need someone to watch Brody.”
“I didn’t think those classes started for another week or so?”
“I’m not doing the classes, not yet at least. I want to make some money and be available to Brody as he adjusts to his new school. Going through nursing school or any kind of schooling right now is just going to be entirely too chaotic. It’s not fair to Brody for me to keep putting him last.”
“You’re not putting him last. If you better yourself, it will better him as well. Have you talked to Rocky about this new job?”
