Vanessa called a reality check switching to a magical style that she made some time ago. The very sight of it was horrendous. But after making a few adjustments with her free hand, she was ready to go.
"Now when you step out that door, you have to be fast. These creatures are going to come after you and I won't be able to help. Run to the other side of that big room and take the emergency exit down to the third floor. Keep running until you see a red door. I will meet you there".
With a solid thumbs up from Vanessa, Kiki ran out. Vanessa herself propped the girl higher on her left shoulder. Using her sword-wielding hand, she flung the door open.
"Squueeeeee!!!" yelled the pig creatures as they stormed towards the office.
Vanessa saw one un up to her. A single s***h of her blade threw midair sent a disk of fire back at it.
The pig itself fell back, breaking its leg. It squeeled for the others. But they were already on their way.
The girl cried hearing them stomp through the factory. Vanessa simply held tight and followed the directions given.
Three pigs ran her way. She took a stop to hold her sword up o them. "Ice," she chanted slowly dropping it to the ground. The metal tapping the floor shot out a series of ice pillars that froze the beast.
She ran slicing two more fire disks to an oncoming pig. Burn marks sizzled into its skin. Vanessa just ran past.
From behind a giant tub, a pig sprang at her. It was too close for her to land a full magic attack.
She countered with a wind enhanced slice which gave her enough distance to land two more hits.
The pig raged towards her for a full blow. She kept on her toes to gain distance.
It took a fatal hit to Vanessa. She ducked into the attack so its cleaver hit a tub.
In the second it took the pig to orient itself, she got just enough distance to hit it with a full wind disk to push it further. After, she hurled a fire disk to burn it.
A small crowd of raging pigs was running towards her. Vanessa slammed her katana to create an ice wall. Some were breaking it down while others were squeezing through the tubs.
Vanessa knew she couldn't fight them all. Especially when she has yet to actually kill any with the girl on her shoulder. She aimed for the emergency stairs and booked it down.
Two pigs ran up on her just to get hit by three flame discs. She scooted her butt on the rails and flipped over with the girl to the next floor under.
Vanessa lost her footing and slammed into the wall. That little girl was heavy. Luckily she turned just in time to hit the two pigs with fire disks again.
She wasted no time leaving them to get to the third-floor hallway. A few pigs chased after, slowly catching up.
The air shifted quicker than opening a broiling oven. Flames engulfed the walls. Vanessa hadn't known what had been causing the flames, but she had hoped they were still in her favor.
Hands made of magma grabbed the pigs, pulling them into the makes. Each one squealed as the flames burnt down to their bones. Their pink pigment was already crumbling black. The red door opened.
"Quick, bring the girl," yelled Kiki from the doorway.
Vanessa her in and was directed to placing the little girl on the ground.
"Is okay. We will help you," said Vanessa to comfort the girl.
Kiki directed her to stand back while she performs a seance. It was creepier than the slumber party. Kiki's black make-up smeared, giving her a gross look. Her eyes shifted to a pale green.
The room set afire just like the hallway. The girl was surrounded by flames that formed a symbol similar to a pentagram. Vanessa wanted to rush in but trusted her partner. No matter how hard her ears rang from the girl's screams nor how hot she got, Vanessa stood patiently waiting for Kiki's next command.
A faint sound was heard from the girl as though her lungs were crushed. Those tiny pretty eyes of hers lost their color. Air left her body as did her soul. Kiki picked up her body and ran out of the room.
In the hallway, many more pigs were being crushed by the hands from the wall. Kiki dropped the body to the floor to bait anymore more pigs to come as she and Vanessa began running down the emergency exit.
Though the entire stairwell was burning, Kiki easily set the flames aside. Vanessa couldn't help but compliment her fire skill. It was then that Kiki admitted to multi-classed between a witch and a pyromancer. After all, she did always love Firestarter as well as The Fifth Element. In fact, her old team bonded over The Fifth Element sort of.
Kiki even began briefly telling a story about how in her early day her team took out an ifrit. She recalled they obtained a fire rune for it that she happened to hog away from them. They would fight her all the time. It was horrible times, she admitted. Nowadays, she doesn't talk about them due to simply how agonizing it all was. Especially being the only girl in America who thought having a mullet was cute.
But by the time Kiki could tell any more of herself, the two reached outside. Vanessa was purely dumbfounded by the adventure as opposed to Kiki who was laughing. Looking back at the door, Vanessa saw the girl as a see through ghost.
"Thank you," she said holding out her hand to release light into Vanessa.
Before she could respond, the girl vanished.
"Yes!" said Kiki holding up a plastic bag of hair, "You are now one of my puppets".
"Eh?"
Kiki smiled, "I now have your hair in my bag which means I can now use you to cast magic. Pretty cool, huh"?
Behind Vanessa's, blank stare was Mimi, "Why are you scaring Vanessa with your creepy voodoo stuff"?
Shrugging her shoulders, Kiki said, "It'll come in handy next weekend".
Mimi continued, "Ight well we have to go now. We have some business to take care of".
"Y'all gonna do something to Logan?" asked Jaivva.
Both girls laughed claiming they will see.
"Well, I guess that just leaves us then," said Jaivva.
Vanessa replied, slowly squinting her eyes as she spoke, "Yes. If we don't get ours today, the we will be in trouble".
