Begging for Chances

Chapter 3

In our university, once in a month lang kaming magnational anthem. Pagkatapos mong makarating rito'y deretso na agad sa klase. The bell will tell you if it's already time and take classes.

I parked my car near the school. It's our parking lot. I took my phone and dialed my friend's number. "Eliana, I arrived early in our school. Pasok na ako sa classroom, bye." I said and ended the call.

I usually use my aviators to avoid their eyes. Inilibot ko ang paningin ko at natuon ang pansin sa magkaibigang nag-ce-cellphone. Maliban sa'kin ay may kaibigang babae si Honer, her name were Fairy Manuel. Their clothes were the same. A friendship t-shirt I guess?

Ipinilig ko ang ulo ko at dumeretso sa kanila. "Hey guys! Anong linalaro ninyo? Pasali nga!" I over reacted. Shock was written on their face. I shrugged at ibinaba ang bag sa harap nila.

Fairy looked away. "We are actually uh listening into some songs. I also gave your friend a cookies. It is his favorite naman diba?" she muttered. Napatango tango ako. I didn't know that he likes cookies. Mango lang naman ata?

Umupo ako sa harap nila at nangalumbaba. "Do you like him? I saw it in your eyes. But love, I am sorry.. We're together already." I bravely said.

Gumuhit ang sakit sa mga mata niya. "T-Totoo? Ano yung paghawak mo sa mga kamay ko?" she sadly asked to Jayrone. Nakatunganga lang si Jayrone sa'kin at sinusuri ang reaksyon ko.

I laughed. "Of course not! It was just a joke. So how are you both guys doing? Fairy always take care of my boy best friend hmm?" I sincerely said even I am breaking inside.

Nanlulumo akong tiningnan ni Jayron with his pleading eyes. I smiled to assure him that I won't leave him. "It's fine.. I will be fine, don't worry." I mouthed.

Nagliwanag ang mga mata ni Fairy at niyugyug ang mga balikat ko. I cried when she hugged me tightly. "Thank you, Allaine. Ang bait mo pa rin lagi!"

Kumalas ako and looked at her with disbelief. "Just continue listening to that song hmm? I'll just wait my friends to be here." ani ko at nag-iwas nang tingin. Masyado na silang madaya.

After looking a way, eksaktong mahinhing mukha ni Eliana ang bumungad sa gate. Samantha even giggled and pinched Eli's cheeks. I raised my hands to let them know I am here. Nagtungo agad sila sa direksyon ko at umupo.

If only Fairy know how to zip her mouth, I shouldn't have been received any death glares from Eliana and Samantha. "We're together for two months. Allaine even joked me that they were together. Your bestfriend is kinda desperate! Haha." she uttered and laughed sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes silently and prayed that Eliana shouldn't show his attitude again. But I was wrong again!

"What? Do you think I will let you speak any ill to Allaine? She wasn't desperate. And you are." she smirked. Here we go again. She pouted and looked at me to defend her.

Umiling ako sa kanya. "Putangina mo!" sigaw ni Eliana na nagpalaki nang mga mata namin. s**t! D-Did I actually heard her cussing? Sayang di ko narecord!

When she realized it, she immediately covered her mouth. Samantha once laughed again. Tawa lang ata inaambag nang kaibigan kong ito eh.

"Wag mo na itanong, Allaine. Narecord ko talaga! Hahaha."

Tatawa tawa kaming umalis sa lugar kung asan kami kanina. Fairy even told us we're crazy. Atleast, but not desperate. Pinasa na rin ni Samantha ang rinecord niya.

"What does that w***e talking about Herra? She've been dating many guys and you'll give Jayrone to him?" frustrated na sambit ni Samantha at umupo. Umiling ako.

Alam kong unang pasok pa lang namin rito, I already knew that they will get Jayrone away from me. Ipinilig ko na lang ang ulo ko.

"You guys got my nerves huh! What's your plan now? Ewan ko kung matalino ka o hindi Allaine e. Kulang ka ata sa aruga."

Ngumiti ako nang malapad. "Kulang na kulang Samantha. What's my plan? Hmm.. I'll let them together for five months and tell that girl that he already got a girlfriend." I smirked at my thoughts. Namumula pa rin si Eliana dahil sa pagmumura kanina. I am so proud of her.

Dito sa Garcia De Colehiyo rin nag-aaral ang soon to be boyfie ni Eliana. Ganoon rin si Samantha. Kung gaano katahimik si Eliana ay ganon rin kaming kaingay ni Sam. Nakakarindi na nga raw kami eh.

Pumasok ang teacher namin at nagsimulang magturo. She's our linguistic teacher. "Do chances we have begged for so long are still worth it? This won't rely in our topic but I am asking you."

Napaisip naman ako agad at nagtaas nang kamay. I looked at Eliana who's looking at me proudly. I took a glance to Jayrone and his paying attention to Fairy.

"Some are worth it. Everyone probably deserves second chances and even closure but would you still beg for it when you are no longer part of his things? Let's say na nagmakaawa ka for two years straight and you didn't receive any response from that guy, that wasn't worth it. We are worth it and we don't have to beg for the chances and love that we wanted to have and experience. Accept that someone would be your future or your lesson. Accept everything and move on."

Her mouth dropped open. No words are coming from her mouth. A gasped came from nowhere. I looked at Jayrone who's stunned of what I've said. I really mean it. Why would you beg? You can always experience unending love after you accepted everything and moved on from past.

"Hindi porket nabigyan ka nang chance, magmamakaawa ka na naman ulit. Hindi ganon ang pag-ibig. Hindi nagmamakaawa ang tunay na pag-ibig. Kung desidido siyang bigyan ka nang isa, then it's fine. Mahalin mo lang at humingi nang kapatawaran. Nasa tao kung gusto kang bigyan nang chance."
