It was a cloudy evening that I had just finished my shift. That day was long and tiresome and couldn’t wait to go home.

I walked out of my office gently to the parking area. As I was walking, I suddenly tripled and I dropped my car keys. I scrambled in the dark area to find it and I found it after a minute’s struggle. As I was rising up on my feet, I remembered that I had just left my phone in my office.

I went back to the office only to realize that the lights on the corridor were scarce and I could hardly make out my steps, since they were partly off. Finally, I picked my phone from the office and on my way out I walked first since the time was running out. A black car hit me as I was running in the parking area when it was on its way out. I could feel the life flying out of my body as I relentlessly struggled to get out of the pain. But in the end the pain won and I was left unconscious.

I cannot tell what had exactly happened between the times I was hit by the car and now when I woke up in a strange room, for I had no memory of the events succeeding my a*******n.

I woke up on a large bed in a gloomy room. It was cold and ghastly. The silence was deafening, which was however interrupted by the sound of wind beating up the roof of the building. I threw off the bed covers and checked if I had any injuries on my body. Found some scratches on my body which were already treated.

Where was i? I questioned myself and ran my eyes across the room to see if I could find something but I was in vain. I banged the door with my hands which made my hand more sore due to the accident I had last night.

Suddenly, the knob turned and I could see someone standing outside. The door opened and a man entered in the room. “How are you feeling?” He asked.

“Where am I?” I asked.

“Does where you are matters more than your life?” He ordered.

He grabbed me by my neck. “You’re hurting me,” I cried.

CHAPTER 1

The door opened and a man entered in the room. “How are you feeling?” He asked. “Where am I?” I asked.                                “Does where you are matters more than your life?” He ordered. He grabbed me by my neck. “You’re hurting me,” I cried. My shouting didn’t affect him at any point. Suddenly, another man entered the room dressed in black attire. “Leave her alone, don’t you know that you’re hurting her,” he ordered. “Look at you!” he hissed, pointing at the man. “You should think twice before making me mad again.” He grabbed his arm and drove him out of the room. The man lifted me up from where I was dropped by his colleague. “If you need anything just pick that phone and call me.” Said the man as she tucked me in the bed. He looked genuinely concerned for me. I could see in his eyes that she felt bad for me.   After half an hour I called up the phone as I had been ordered to do when I needed anything. “Can I talk to you?” I said. “Well,” he said gently. “I really have a head ache,” I said and acted like my head was aching. “Have some painkillers,” he replied. Before he left I uttered, “Where am I?” I asked. “I don’t think that matters at this time, first take some food and the medicine I will explain others latter,” he said. I remained silent. “Let me get you something to eat, come with me,” he held me and took me to the dining room. I looked around the room which looked familiar to me when the man sat me down on one of the chair. “Here you go.” It was chicken and (ugali). I started eating while the man walked outside with his magazine on his hand. The man seemed different from the other one. There was warmth on his face that was missing in the other man’s face. The man came back to the house smiling here and there like there was something he saw being funny from the magazine and made him smile. “How is the food?” he asked gently. “Uuhu…it’s great,” I replied. “It’s one of my best,” he smiled. In a few minutes of silence the other man came. “Am leaving for some hours so you stay here and look after the girl,” he said to the bad man. I became nervous, I ran back to my room. The man was tall, and muscular and wearing a blue suit. He had a raven brown hair which was slicked back roughly. His perfectly cut jawline gave him an intimidating look. Who are they? I wondered. “Come out you crazy b***h,” he ordered. I didn’t move.                                 “Come out this instant or you will regret these stupid games.” I became scared to move but before I could do anything, he kicked out the door and yanked me out by grabbing me by my wrist. “Stop hurting me,” I cried.                                        I pushed him but it had no effect to him it just made him more and more angry. He pinned my hands above my head as he breathed furiously near me. “You need to respect me,” he growled. My heart was beating out of my chest. He was just an inch from me. My wrists were hurting. I was short but he was a giant. On top of his incredible height was a strong body. His dark eyes were as dark as he looked into my eyes. “You are hurting me you bustard,” “What! How many times will I tell you to have manners, how dare you abuse me?” “It hurts, please let me go,” I begged him. “I’m sorry, please let me go.” “Ade!..... What did I tell you about these your stupid behaviors, move away from her.” He ordered. The man moved towards the other one and was about to slap him. He grabbed his hand. “Don’t you ever raise a hand again to me am the one in charge of this mission.” He said to him. “Mission? This sounds strange, besides no one is telling me where I am!” I thought. I stood up and sited helplessly on the bed while the men were arguing with each other. I wondered and thought ho my family are wondering where I am. It has been two days now and am yet to realize where I am. The bad man left and the other one was left at the door to my room. After sometime I recalled that this house was in one of the pictures in my father’s office back in his company (Mark Building Company). “Am sorry for what had just happened,” he uttered. “What is going on? I want to know there I am and what mission you have over me?” I asked question after question. He seemed confused like he didn’t to tell me anything about it. He walked out of the room without even uttering a word to me. Tears rolled out of my eyes down to my cheek. I was panting and sweating profusely. I quickly turned the light off, and shut the door behind me with a bung. “Why is this man good at me and they are holding me here at their custody,” I wondered. I continued waiting patiently if the man could come back and answer the questions that I had asked him but inside my heart it was throbbing badly. The pictures in my father’s office flashed before my eyes as I tried to figure out what is happening to me. Why am I in the house of sadists who one of them had a knack of torturing me. A lot of frightening thoughts circled my brain like a shark. I knew I had to get out of here but how? The gate was locked and I didn’t have the key to open it. Then as I look there was this gatekeeper who didn’t even move a step from the gate. May be I should contact my parents. But how? I couldn’t have my phone to get their numbers.
