Prologue
To be an achiever, you have to exert your full effort to get what you want. But for Abrea, being an achiever means you always have to be on top. Being on top is being powerful. She will do everything she can to be on top, even if it means sacrificing everything. She was taught that all things around her are merely tools that she can dispose of anytime. Sa pamilyang kinalakihan niya, hindi pwede ang pagiging pangalawa o pangatlo. Kailangan ikaw ang nangunguna sa lahat para ikaw ay tingalain at hindi inaapak-apakan ng iba.
Bound to her parent’s leash, she was left alone to fight on her way to the top – this is her own battle as her mother said – thus, financial support is all she needs. She has no friends either way, she has no one to run to and she's fine with it.
But who would have thought that she will eventually meet people who will stick to her at all times. Will she keep striving to be the best for her parents, or will she begin to stand up for herself?
We all have our own talents and skills that make us unique from everyone, hence we should focus on being ourselves instead of aiming to be someone we are not. - author
