Alexander's pov

“Good Morning sir, today's meeting is scheduled completely and you only have two breaks in between.” Enrique my Pa plus Beta informed me

We work and live among the humans to be protected from hunters.

“Hmm,” I replied as I don't have any interest in talking to him right now

“Tonight we are supposed to visit the council Alpha. You remember it right?” he reminded me of something which I hate

“I do,” my reply was short because he irritated me with this reminder more than I was already

Those old council members have no other work other than plotting against me and thinking how to dethrone me all the time. If I could I would have killed them all long ago but even after being the hybrid king I have to follow some rules and regulations. Can't go against the rules set by them.

What did they do again? Yeah try to take my throne because I didn't find My mate yet. They think I won't ever find her as she doesn't exist. Being a vampire Lycan hybrid they think my mate isn't created but one thing they don't know that I truly believe she exists. Somewhere in this world she Is there and one day I will get her for sure.

I focused on my work but even with all my focus on work I can feel Enrique is staring at me as if he has something to say.

“Speak Enrique I don't have time to read your thoughts using My vampire abilities.” I told him narrowing my eyes at him and found him shifting in his place

“Well, I need a break from work tomorrow. I want to take my mate on a date.” He finally said it

“Fine, but finish your work of tomorrow today itself so you can get a break.” I dismissed him and I don't need to look at him to know what he is doing

With a huff he left from my office. Some say I have become an enemy of love because I haven't found my own but that's not true completely.

After the meetings I am very much tired and the last thing I want to do is see those old council members.

“Good evening Alpha! How was your day?” a well known voice chirped

“My day was as normal as it could be till now, my dear sister and how many times should I tell you to not call me Alpha when we are alone? We are twins Kat please.” I told my twin sister Katherine

She is a vampire, not a hybrid like me and has a mate of hers which I don't. She just smiled in response as she gave me my special drink which is blood not human blood of course.

“The council members are here, let's go.” she said and I followed her after finishing the blood

With my crown on my head and cloak on my back I took the get up of their Alpha from a normal human CEO.

“Good evening Alpha, We hope you're doing well. Today we are meeting for a great reason.” the oldest of them spoke as I sat on my throne

“Good evening, may I know that great reason?” I asked him

“We have chosen a mate for you. Witch Princess Jennifer. With this alliance our relationship with witches will be better.” He said and I huffed in response

Not f*****g again! I'm tired of their new findings of my mate's position. It's not an empty glass which can be filled with anything, it's my mate's place they don't understand it.

“With all the respect I'm rejecting this alliance for myself. I will prefer waiting for my mate rather than taking a chosen mate who is not even connected to me.” My words were loud and clear with no hint of place for negotiation

As expected they didn't like my response.

“You have been waiting for your mate for many years now. There is no guarantee you will find her. To continue our legacy we need an heir if we can't get it then we need a new king. We are giving you just a few days. If you can't find your mate by that time then either you will take a chosen mate or you have to step down as a king.” The elder member said with seriousness

“I will do what will be the need of time.” I told him as no way I will take someone else as my mate nor I will leave this place

Where are you mate? Please come to me! They want me to give your place to someone else. How can I do that? Don't make me wait more for you mate. I know you exist and one day I will find you.
