Chapter 12

Evelyn's pov

I am running inside a forest giggling wearing a beautiful dress and a man is running behind me laughing as well. His mismatched eyes are the most attractive thing on his face for me.

“You can't catch me! Keep trying!” I shouted as I ran faster away from him

“Run as much as you want mate, I will always find you.” He said and caught me

We both laughed together and I hugged him but when I did my hand got drenched with blood.

His blood! I shouted as he was bleeding and fell down on his knees.

“What happened to you? Why are you bleeding?” I asked as his blood started turning green

“No matter what happens mate I will find you always. Even if I die I will come back to you. Please wait for me.” He said and started vanishing from my sight

“NOO!” I screamed as I got up from my sleep

I am drenched in sweat even though the fan is on. I wiped my sweat and sighed as if it's a dream. Just a dream!

“What happened Eve? Are you fine? I heard you screaming?” Zara asked entering the door wearing just a robe

My cheeks flushed seeing her here like this. Her mate is present there as well and needless to say that they were being intimate with each other. Even though the rooms don't let out sounds much with her Lycan hearing she did.

“I'm fine, sorry to disturb you. It was just a nightmare. I will sleep again.” I told her as I was feeling very bad about the fact she had to come here leaving her mate

“You sure? You don't look fine.” she said as she sat down on the bed

As Emily is gone I have lost my abilities but even without them I can smell the s*x on her. Lucky her who has a loving and understanding soul mate unlike me.

“You should go back to your mate Zara.” I told her softly

“He is fine, don't worry he knows about you and he is very much angry with your pack members as well. He won't mind.” Zara said with assurance in her tone.

I have seen people like Zach, Claire, the Alpha and Luna who are cruel and selfish and I have met Zara and Beta Enrique. They both are so good and help me without any motive or expectations of getting something.

They are helping me because they can as the Beta and Beta female helping the needy is their duty. His words not mine.

It's been days I'm here and getting healed. Even though the doctor said I'm fine, Emily isn't back yet which makes me ill. I was admitted to the Lycan hospital so it wasn't a problem. Now I'm staying between the humans along with Zara.

I have gone out sometimes as well and it's fun. I have never been here before as I was just an omega there but now I can go anywhere I want to go.

Zara has even given me money so if I needed to buy something I could without feeling ashamed or hesitating. I am thinking of getting a job once I'm completely fine. I have studied in our pack school and they teach us like we are in the human world for security purposes. What if we have to blend in for some reason? That's why I know.

“What are you thinking, Eve?” Zara asked as I was lost completely in my thoughts

“Nothing! Just thinking if I didn't meet you what would have happened to me. Thank you for being in my life.” I said and hugged her tightly

“You're a pure soul Eve and whatever happens, happens for a reason so chill.” she assured me again

“Zara come here, we need to leave immediately.” I heard Beta Enrique shouting

His voice sounded serious and in a hurry as well. What happened suddenly? Is everything fine?

“What happened Enrique? Is everything fine?” Zara asked him

“Alpha was under attack along with Henry and Katherine. They both are safe but Alpha is in critical condition. He is taken to the hospital. We need to get there.” Enrique said and two mismatched eyes came in front of me

Same as in my dreams. I don't remember the Lycan king much as I just saw a few glimpses of him. I remember he has mismatched eyes as well as he is a hybrid.

How can he be critical? Isn't he a pure blood hybrid? I am not understanding anything.

“Eve, we need to leave now, you lock the door and don't open it okay? I am taking an extra key with me when I come back. I will open the door on my own. You can cook for yourself right?” she asked me and I nodded

“Don't worry about me. I will be fine so you go.” I assured and she practically ran out of my room

In less than 10 minutes both were out of the apartment leaving me alone. I pray to the Moon Goddess that he gets well soon. With these thoughts in my mind I again drifted to sleep.
