(Helena's POV)
I sighed deeply for the hundredth time as I quietly sat on the corner of the bus that will take me outside Jacksonville. I can't believe that it's supposed to be only the second day of my life as a senior high school student but I'm already running away. I'm not even eighteen yet.
'What should I do?'
My eyes started to water as I remember all the things that happened on the past two days. It's all that damn killer's fault why I have to run away. I hope I will never meet him again... whoever he is. I looked at my wallet and sighed. What can I do with only five hundred dollars and an old Samsung phone in my hand? I am not even a high school graduate so I cannot simply search for a nice work. I separated four hundred dollars and put it on my jean's secret pocket just in case of emergency. I heard that there are many men here who are willing to kill just for money and I need to prepare for that matter.
I finally got off the bus when I saw a train station that goes to the big city of New York.
The train that I rode is quite old and crowded but this is the only thing that I can afford. I immediately sat on a vacant seat on the dark side of the train and bowed my head on my hands.
"Hey miss.." Someone called me. I looked up and saw a man who has the built of a body builder. I gasped when he casually pointed a wicked looking knife at my jugular and whispered in my ear. "Give me your wallet if you don't wanna die, missy.."
(Emma's POV)
I woke up feeling miserable that morning. I look at my wedding picture on my bedside table and sighed. "I miss you Josef... Why did you leave us alone. If you did not leave... We could have both protected our baby together..." A lone tear escaped from my eye. I harshly wiped it and stood up. I went out of my bedroom and stopped in front of my daughter's room. I am about to wake her up but I decided not to because I know that she is still sad about what happened yesterday. I just went to the kitchen and prepared some pancakes and cereal for her.
"Helena!" I called outside her door for the umpteenth time. I had been standing outside her room for about ten minutes now and I did not enter because I want her to know that I respect her privacy but she haven't eaten her meals yesterday and I am really worried about her.
She did not answer her door and I sighed. I opened the door using my master key and I gasped when I saw that no one is inside.
"Helena?!" I panicked and ran to her bathroom but she was not there.
I sat on her bed and cried silently. Where is my baby?
I saw a small piece of paper on her night stand and snatched it quickly. I held my breath as I read my daugter's letter to me.
Mummy,
Always remember that I love you and I did this because I want to protect you from whoever the killer is. I will be gone for quite a long time. I'm sorry for leaving but I believe this is for the good of all.
Helena
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Do not cry, Emma. You know that you will see her soon. But I did.
(Julian's POV)
"Julian!"
I am about to ride my car heard my stupid cousin call me. I looked at him as he held his IPhone on his hand. He is even wearing his bedclothes and he looked as if he just rolled out of his bed.
I raised my brow at him. "What is it, stupid?"
"Have you heard the news? Helena left the town! Her mum found a letter on her room saying she ran away." My stupid cousin glared at me, his gray eyes dark with anger.
I stayed silent for a while. Contemplating about what happened. "That's good. I don't have to go near her anymore. I only did that because of your stupidity and I'm tired of pretending that I like her in front of her equally stupid mummy." I laughed.
"YOU BASTARD!!! I'm sure that you have something to do why Helena left!" He accused me as he grasped my collar and pinned me to the wall.
"Let go of me, you bastard!" I growled and punched him.
Moments later, we ended up punching and kicking each other in front of the Mansion.
"Stop drooling over a piece of shite, Michael. Before the killer kills you." I heard grandpa say from behind us. Our parents were right behind him.
"He cannot kill me. I'm sure of that." He said confidently.
"You're the killer. That's why." I scoffed.
"Really? I don't care about your comments, cousin. I swear I will find her." He hissed and went back inside the Mansion.
I just laughed at his stupidity over that poor b***h and went inside my car.
(Helena's POV)
"Give me your phone or I'm gonna drive this on your pretty neck." The man licked his lips in anticipation. I gave him my wallet shakily.
"The phone too, sugar. i know you have one. All bitches nowadays have an expensive phones with them." He grinned and flashed me his Nicotine stained teeth.
I cried silently as I gave him my old model Samsung phone which had been my daddy's gift to me on my fifteenth birthday.
"This is a piece of trash!" He said angrily. "Keep your old phone, bitch." He muttered and threw my phone on the floor. He mercilessly stomped on my phone until it's glass screen cracked and I did nothing but to watch him in fear.
He threw me a dirty look before blending in with the crowd and I just cried as I picked up the pieces of what had been my first ever cellphone.
(Michael's POV)
"Where are you, Helena?" I muttered as I tried to trace her phone's GPS using my computer. I groaned when I failed tracing it for maybe the fiftieth time already.
"s**t!" I said and threw everything that I touched on my room's wall.
