Chapter Forty-Four
Harry read the report from the crime scene investigators. The evidence they had uncovered confirmed someone had thrown a petrol bomb through the front window of the Francis’ house, but there was nothing in the report identifying who that someone might be.
Harry suspected Mitchell was the culprit but knew they couldn’t ignore the possibility that someone else had carried out the attack.
He ran a query on Neil Francis through the database. Nothing. He ran one on Pauline. She was clean. He ran one on Grace and got a hit. He pulled the file. She’d been arrested during a student protest the year she’d started at City University. He couldn’t see that being a motive for anyone to firebomb her house.
Harry drove out to Northfield with Lisa and interviewed their neighbours. B
