Introduction
Hi!
I’m Tiffany Webster. A young millionaire, an independent woman and...
No, I am kidding! I can be whoever I want. Tiffany, Roxanne, Sophie.
Well… In reality I am Alana, a 25 years old spy working for an international agency.
It all started when I was 14.
I was living with my grandmother in a small village near Saint Petersburg, Russia. My parents were too busy to take care of me so they sent me to the other side of the world. Every summer I was visiting them back in U.S., but only for two weeks. I used to be such a good child all year so they would not refuse to take me home during the summer break.
July 1st 2009
Like any other year, I was getting ready to fly back home. My parents came to Russia to take me over the ocean. As soon as we landed in the U.S. we got in the car and headed to our place in Miami.
Mom, how is Ronny? I can’t wait to play with him!
He misses you so much! My dad said.
Are we not there yet?
We will get there soon, honey! Keep reading your book! My mother answered.
This was the last conversation I had with my parents.
A few moments later, we were almost home when, out of nowhere, a truck appeared in front of our car and destroyed it. My parents died and I was in danger of losing both of my legs.
It took me four years to fully recover after the car crush. I had to learn to walk again. My grandmother was by my side this whole time. I was feeling happy after a very long time. I felt that, as my granny always said, God was taking care of us.
That year, my granny got sick and died soon after she was taken to the hospital.
All of my faith and happiness died with my grandmother.
I was completely alone. An 18 years old girl alone in a big world.
I needed money to survive and this is how I met this guy, Fed, whose real name I do not know. He offered me a job and I took it. I had to. Back then he was looking for a girl fluent in Russian. He sent me to work as a babysitter in the house of a very important man in Moscow. That time I was supposed to be Svetlana, a young girl who needed money to pay her studies.
Fed really liked me and after two years of working for him, he made me an offer I could not refuse.
This is how I joined the agency.
They created the person they needed. I was trained to follow their rules.
Act properly!
Be careful every time! They should not know who you are!
Do not fall in love! It is forbidden!
And the most important thing: Do not trust anyone!
My life has changed a lot, but I am happy like this.
Maybe I don’t know who I am going to be tomorrow, but one thing I know for sure: I will always be my granny’s little Alana.
