Chapter three - Vacation pt.1

Abby's POV:

Soon is my anniversary with Luke. I have bought him a present, and I can't wait to see his reaction. Once, he went to play video games with Jason. I thought he was too old for that. I guess the inner child was speaking. My boyfriend said he has never played video games. His parents wanted him to study, so they didn't buy anything related to that. That's why I decided to do it. My present is a gaming console with three games. I am bad at picking, so hopefully, he will like it. I'm sure he will enjoy the console. I was wondering which one to get him. My options were PlayStation five or a Nintendo Switch. There is also an Xbox, but I wouldn't say I liked it. Well, it's not like I will play on it. Now I earn enough money to spoil him a bit. My gift was not cheap, but I know it was worth it. He better like it. Otherwise, I will make him give me my money back. Apart from the joke, I wanted to get him something useful. I asked why he made me get two weeks off work, but he never told me. I know he has panned something. There is no other reason. He told me that he wanted to spend time with me. I mean, as if we don't do this every day. I'm not complaining, but I want to know the real reason. I wonder what he has planned for our anniversary. I can ask him, but I know he won't tell me. All I can do is sit and wait. Whatever it is, it will be perfect. My boyfriend never disappoints me. I have told him before not to get me anything because I don't need it. It's not like he will listen to me. The fact that we are together is enough for me. I don't need him to prove that with presents. If it makes him happy, I will accept it. After all, he loves spoiling me all the time. Well, I'm glad because not every girl can have this. I hope that we'll have a perfect anniversary.

Currently, I am in bed. I woke up an hour ago. It's way too early for me to do whatever it is. Instead, I decided to watch how my boyfriend sleeps. It might sound creepy, but he sleeps like a newborn baby. I love playing with his hair. I wish we could do this every day. Well, I can have this for two weeks. Maybe I have to say a week and a half. It's still better than nothing. I love spending time with him. I wish I could convince my dad Luke is not that bad. I don't think that will happen soon.

After some time, I decided to get up and make breakfast. I prepared eggs with bacon and a bit of cheese. That is one of my favorite things to eat in the morning. Honestly, I love everything. I don't know how I'm not fat. My boyfriend knows how to cook very well. His meals are so delicious. The practice during the years was helpful. When the food was ready, I put it on a tray. Then, we walked into our room. Luke was still sleeping. I put one of the plates under his nose and saw a smile. He is adorable. I left the plate and looked at him. That boy screams perfection.

- Good morning.

- You smell good. - Luke said, and I laughed

- Thanks, but that wasn't me.

- What?

- If you open your eyes and get up, you will see what it is.

- You made eggs with bacon?

- Yes.

- I love you so much. Please, give me that. - he said and took the plate

- I see someone is hungry.

- Well, I would rather have you, but I can wait.

- I don't want to get pregnant.

- Nobody said that you have to. You have pills. Right?

- Yes, I do.

- Then use them.

- Can we talk about something else?

- Yes, we can.

We ate our breakfast peacefully. Later, Luke wanted us to go out for a while. We went for a walk around the town. For lunch, we were with our friends. I see Loren is in a better mood. I'm glad that she stopped thinking about her pregnancy for a while. She will have a kid one day. I know it. Some things take time, and I guess this is one of them. Also, Jason is doing everything possible to distract her with different things.

- How is everything between you two? I see that your girlfriend is happy. - I said

- Well, I decided to focus on other things. Maybe I should've done it a long time ago. - Loren said

- Better late than never.

- True.

- What do you want us to do today? I don't have any plans.

- I don't know. I prefer to be at home. I will tell you when I decide.

- Ok, cool.

After lunch, we walked back home for a while. I noticed Luke texted something to Jason. I'm happy that we have friends. Before, it was only us. It's not a lie that I liked it. Having him all for myself wasn't bad at all.

- Ok, princess, we have to go out. - Luke said

- Why?

- I want you to see something.

- Can't you show it to me on my phone?

- No, I can't. Take whatever you need, and let's go.

- When will we come back?

- That is something I can't tell you.

- I need to know.

- I'm sorry.

- Give me a minute.

I walked into my room and took his present from the wardrobe. At least I have wrapped it. I have no idea what he has planned, but I want him to receive it on time. Otherwise, it won't be worth it. When I was ready, we walked out. My boyfriend was recording on the camera. I am so confused. We walked out and took the car. He started driving, refusing to tell me anything. After forty minutes, we arrived at the airport. Luke and I went inside, and I saw our friends with suitcases. Now I get it. Our friends will go on vacation. That is nice. Loren deserves it.

- Finally, Jason decided to take you on vacation. - I said

- You are so silly. The vacation is for you, girly. - Loren said

- What?

- Man, here is everything you wanted. Hopefully, you have packed everything. - Jason said

- I think I did. - Luke said

- Abby, what is that bag?

- He refused to tell me when we'll come back. I took what I needed.

- Have fun, and we'll see you soon. - Loren said and hugged me

- Ok, I guess.

- She is so confused. - Jason said, chuckling

- That was the idea. We have to go now. Bye, and thank you. - Luke said, and both of us left

- What is going on?

- Ok, guys, we made it to the airport. Do you know what is going on?

- No! That's why I am asking you. I have no idea what is happening. Why are we here, and where are we going?

- I will tell you when we arrive.

- You are so annoying.

- Guys, she will die for this. - Luke said and turned off the camera

We waited for our plane to come and got in. Luke told me to put headphones on. That way, I won't hear the name of the destination. This boy will kill me. I know it will be good. I wish it hadn't been with all this mystery. I prefer to know what is going on. During the whole flight, I listened to music and snuggled. I have nothing else to do. As I see, he won't tell me where we are going. When we arrived, I took the bag and followed him. It was fragile, and I didn't want to leave it with the suitcases. Luckily, it passed security with no problem. We went to take our luggage. After that, we walked outside, and he pulled out the camera again. No way. You have to be kidding me. This is not real.

- Do you like my surprise?

- We are in Montreal!

- Yes, we are. Surprise.

- I love you so much. How? When? What?

- Calm down. Let's go to our hotel now. I will explain everything there.

- You are perfect.

- I am far away from that, but thanks.

We took a taxi to the hotel. I can't believe that we are here. I always wanted to come. It's like a dream come true. I expected him to do something good, but that beat my expectations. I don't want to love him only because of this trip, but it's hard. I had luck with a boyfriend like him. Other girls can be jealous. Soon, we arrived and took our things. Luke went to register us. I use the chance to look around. Everything was so pretty. We are in Canada. Montreal. It will take me time to process this. We walked to our room, and I looked around. It's so big and spacious. I wonder how much money he spent on this.

- Do you like it?

- I love it. That is such a big room.

- Because it's an apartment.

- What? How much money did you spend on this?

- Let's not talk about prices.

- Luke. Look, I don't want to get spoiled.

- You know I love doing this.

- Yes, but that is too much.

- Hey, leave this to me. You can tell your fans how much you love this vacation. I will take care of our luggage. Later, we can go for dinner. Is that ok for you?

- Perfect.

- Good. - Luke said and kissed me

While he was putting our clothes in the wardrobe, I did a small room tour. This hotel is fantastic. The view from the balcony is perfect. You can see the whole town. I can't wait to walk around tomorrow. There are so many places that I want to visit. I don't know how he made this. I will always be thankful for that. I don't care what people think about him. This boy is the type that every girl needs. I am so proud to be dating him.

- Ok, everything is ready. Dinner is after 7 pm. What do you want us to do until then?

- Lay down with you.

- I can do that.

- Why did you plan this?

- Don't you like it?

- I love it, but it was too expensive. I feel bad.

- Hey, the money is mine. You know I will do everything for you.

- I do, but I don't want to be spoiled. The fact that we are together is enough for me.

- But not for me. We can't be at home all the time.

- So, our friends knew about this.

- I had to tell them. After all, I needed their help.

- You are crazy, but I love you so much.

- Me too. You can start planning what you want us to do tomorrow.

- Oh, god. One day won't be enough.

- We are here for a whole week.

- What? Really?

- Yes. Our flight home is next Wednesday.

- I hope you won't get tired. There are many places I want to visit.

- Great. I will let you know that I am planning everything for Friday.

- No problem. I would love to see what else you have. It's not like that is not enough.

- Trust me. You have no idea what is going on.

- Should I be scared?

- No. I think you will like it.

Luke and I talked for a while. Later, we went for dinner. The restaurant was big. It had so much food. Who can eat all of this? It's not a lie that I want to try everything. The problem is that I don't have much space in my stomach. Now, I wish it had been spacious. I took a plate and looked around. Everything looks so good. I don't think I will be able to choose. The desserts look like they are from a magazine. That is the best vacation on which I have ever been. I will never be thankful enough for what he did for me.

- How is the food?

- The bad thing is that I can't try everything. - I said, and he laughed

- Hey, tomorrow, we'll be here again. You can do it.

- Yes, but the food will be different.

- I'm sure some of the things will be the same.

- Should I get a dessert?

- Why are you asking me? If you think you can eat it, go for it.

- I don't want to get fat.

- Abby, let's not talk about this here. There is nothing wrong with you. As I have told you a million times, you look beautiful.

- You say this because we are dating.

- No, I say it because I mean it.

- If you say so. Hopefully, you won't want anything from me. I don't think I will be able to give it to you. - I said and tapped my belly

- Don't worry. Today, we can rest. The vacation will start tomorrow.

- I don't know how you came up with this, but I appreciate it.

- I was sure you would like it.

- I do. Everything is amazing. You too.

- Music for my ears. - he said, and I laughed

After some time of debating, I took a dessert as well. That was one very delicious mistake. It was too much for me, but it tasted so good. I have Luke now. He wants to make me eat more. At least we'll walk out tomorrow. I will make him walk a lot for what he did to me. Hopefully, he has a lot of energy. Even if he doesn't, I don't care. He will do it for me. I know that.

Later, we walked into our room. I can try for a walk, but my stomach is full. Also, it's getting dark. I'll leave the activities for the next day. I laid on the bed, and he joined me.

- This was a successful day.

- I'm glad that you like it.

- You make it. There is no way I won't like it. You know I appreciate everything you do.

- It's good to know.

- You don't need to buy me anything. I don't need that to know you love me.

- I know, but I like spoiling you.

- You started doing this way too often.

- Is it that bad? Not every girl is so lucky.

- True. I love you.

- I love you too.

I can't believe that I have such a good boyfriend. Sometimes, I feel like I don't deserve him. He is too good for me. I have nowhere else to go, so I better stay with him. Also, I don't want to go. Luke is doing everything I say. Some days, he does it without me telling him. We might have moved out too early, but I don't regret it. That helped us a lot. Look where we are. Both of us have stable jobs and good salaries. What more should I want? I'm thankful for everything that I have, especially for him. He might not be made of gold, but he is for me. I love him more than anything. I hope that we'll always be so happy.
