Bella's POV A week has passed since the incident happened. I was eagerly waiting for his message which never came. It was anticipated that he would contact me after the occurrence but he just vanished. I would have called him other times, however this time, I wanted him to reach me instead. After we got so close that day there is no reason for him to ignore me like that. A simple hello would have calmed my anxious heart. I stayed home for the whole week. Didn't go anywhere. I lost a few kilograms because I haven't been eating well. I lost my appetite after that day. Anything I eat only makes me feel like puking. "Bella?" Mom knocked at my door, while I was lost in my train of thoughts. "Coming mom," I opened the door and mom entered with a tray in her hands. "Dear I made your favourite pancake," She said with a big smile on her face. "Mom, you didn't have to cook for me!" I said taking the tray from her and keeping it on a table. "Ma…" I gave her a big hug. She was so warm. "Everything will be fine dear. Mom and dad love our princess so much," She comforted me patting my head. "I love you guys so much too, mom. You guys are all I have," I whispered. I wish I could tell mom everything. It would give so much peace. Yet I stopped myself, I can't create tension in my family. What will I even tell them? I'm in love with a person who never even showed me his face. I can already guess their horrific reaction if I particularly tell them what happened that day. Don't be stupid Bella… I scolded myself. "Dear?" Mom's concerned voice brought me back to reality. "You're zoning out a lot these days dear! You should go out. Get some fresh air. It's good for your health." "No mom, I'm good. Not feeling like going out much anyway," I said, biting a big chunk from the pancake. "Tastes so good mom. Thank you for cooking it for me," I praised mom showing her ok hand. I can't let my parents worry because of me. At least in front of them, I need to show that I'm happy, I'm alright… "Thank you, Bella dear. Also if you don't go out today. I'm gonna take you out tying you with a rope. But still, you need to go out for a walk," She informed me, crossing her hands in front of me. "Woah, mom cool! Alright, alright. I'll go…" I had no other alternative other than agreeing to her order. "Bella take this with you," Mom handed me a pepper spray, "Self Defence!" She said, patting my back. "I'll take karate lessons instead, mom," I said laughing, "But still thank you so much." I came out of my house putting the pepper spray in my bag. I'm aware that this will do nothing if I'm actually in big trouble. But still, keeping something for safety always gives an option to make use of in the time of danger. After a while of strolling alone, I decided to go near the lake of our nearby park and watch the sunset. It has been a long time since I went there alone like this. I couldn't make the time before. Classes, work and everything kept me very busy. I sat on an empty bench near the lake. The place was filled with couples, it felt like I was the odd one there. It made me smile gazing at the couples walking, holding hands, sitting together. This type of romance is definitely prohibited in my life story. Otherwise, I wouldn't fall in love with a secretive guy after all. I sighed staring at the pristine beauty of the sun, disappearing below the horizon, setting a fiery kiss to the night all alone. ''Oh, Bella, couldn't you find a normal guy?" "Why? What's wrong with me?" Suddenly a voice from behind startled me. I was about to turn around and see but his fingers tangled in my hair stopped me. "I've missed your voice Bella...Say something…" He whispered in my ears with his enticing voice, stirring my senses and caressing my face with his fingers. I felt his frigid breath on my neck as he kissed it slowly draining all the strength from my knees. I couldn't even stand up. "Ben..." I said his name softly, hiding my broken heart that awaited his arrival. "Bella…?" It rhymed as he replied. "Are you feeling cold?" My innocent inquiry after perceiving his breath was way cooler than natural. "Hahaha…" He laughed as if I said something amusing. "I'm serious though!" I asserted, pouting about the fact that he took it as a joke. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine," He stated. "Will you disappear if I look back?" I asked, holding back my emotions. "Perhaps…" He answered blankly. "I won't look back so don't leave please," I pleaded helplessly. I wanted him to stay. It's been weeks since we last talked. I didn't want him to vanish even though somewhere in my heart I knew he would eventually. I continued, "You've been away for so long. I didn't think you'd ever return to me…" "I have already devoured you with my eyes, quenched my thirst with your lips, penetrated your core and marked you. Then why do you think I'm still here?" He paused and growled the next moment, shocking me abruptly, "I will not leave you and not let you leave me either, even if I perish." I realized he was mouthing words against my skin. Whispering in an engaging yet playful tone, "You are 'Mine'…" He told me that he couldn't contact me because the police were keeping track of my phone calls and messages. If he called me it would only create further complications in their mind that who was he… I sat there frozen, still a bit scared about his hot and cold behaviour towards me. He left after a while, silently, how a tree whispers to its fallen leaves in winter, Goodbye…My Love...
