Emma's POV.
"Shaun and Amanda are just friends, right?"
I looked up at Jason, who was standing next to me. He made me feel even smaller than I was. He didn't look at me though, he only continued to stare after Shaun's car as it drove away.
"Last I checked, yea." He shrugged.
"Amanda was acting very strange."
He finally turned his head to look at me too. His eyes were incredible up close. They looked like pools of golden honey. My breath caught in my throat and I had to clear it before speaking again.
"I noticed that too. I didn't put too much thought into though. I haven't seen her in almost a year, so I just assumed that she had changed, grown up a little."
"You weren't imagining things. Trust your gut Emma. It won't steer you in the wrong direction."
I smiled up at him. He didn't
