Emma's POV.
"Emma? What happened darling? Are you okay?"
My mother is shocked at the site of me. Her eyes are wide with surprise.
I can't say that I blame her, I must look a real mess. Tear stained cheeks, messy hair, still in my pj's and clutching my terrified puppy in my arms.
"Come in my darling."
My mother puts her arm around my shoulder and ushers me inside. She leads me into the kitchen, where my father is drinking coffee and reading the morning paper.
When he looks up and sees me, he almost drops his cup.
"What happened, Em?"
I put Daisy down and take a seat opposite my father.
"Joseph and I had a fight. A massive one. I just had to get away."
