Emma's POV.
I was woken up by the sound of laughter.
My neck hurt from the way I was leaning against the window. I opened my eyes, and turned my head around slowly.
Shaun and Amanda were laughing about something. Amanda was actually sitting in the middle of the back seat, resting her elbows on the two seats in front of her with her head between Shaun and me.
They stopped laughing as soon as they realized that I was awake, and Amanda pulled her head back and leaned back against the seat.
Shaun looked over at me, and smiled. He took my hand in his and raised it to his mouth, giving it a tender kiss.
"Did you sleep okay?"
I returned his smile. Seeing him, and being here with him filled me with a warm, comforting sensation.
"I did." My voice was husky with sleep.
