Shaun's POV.
I arrived back at the hospital a little after six o' clock the next morning.
After a hot shower, and a few hours of sleep, my body had completely healed up. I felt refreshed, and ready to take on the world again.
The waiting room was deserted. There was no sign of Amanda or her mother.
I asked one of the nurses, and she told me that Mrs. Stevens' husband had picked her up an hour earlier, and that Amanda was in Emma's room. She had been there most of the night.
I thanked her, and walked over to Emma's room. I found Amanda, sitting in the chair next to Emma's bed, holding her hand, and sleeping with her head on top of her folded arms.
The sight of them like that warmed my heart. It was good seeing them together again, even if Emma wasn't aware. I had to swallow the lump i
