Adrian's POV-
It was a dark and cold night, it had just stopped raining after a raging storm, street lights loomed over the elapsed road, the moon hung high in the black night.
The lights were bright like blinding balls of light, shining down like stars. They highlighted the darkness, making it easier to see where the rain had stained the road almost like tears. They were so illuminating, that it was exactly like they were fighting with the shadows aiming to keep them at bay. They made the whole scene clearer; the fog was disappearing in the light. The fog that once obscured the view of the road was clearing away only to reveal the crooked curled trees watching, waiting for something to happen.
The way the branches had grown they looked as if they were reaching out to something, but the only thing in view was the abandoned automobiles on the other side of the street. Leaves, they had none. Colour, they had none. They looked like bones, the bones of a lifeless skeleton. Their bark grey, their branches crooked. Trees that were hardly trees watched, they waited for something to happen, and then it did.
Speeding, the car hurtled through those trees, was it running away? SCREECH! The car pulled to a holt. Its red coat of pain was chipped, like it hadn’t been redone in years, one the headlights was broken making it flicker rather than shine and there were dents and scratches everywhere, up and down the vehicle. And just like that the deep, night faded away, the moon disappeared and the trees straightened the night was gone, and the car was too. Gone.
-Sorry for the short chapter it was just a description piece for effect so I thought it was better shorter.
