“We can, all you have to do is say the word Madeline.” I stared down at her intently and she looked away from me.
“I’m just settling in, I’m not sure I’m ready to just leave.” She muttered and I squinted my eyes.
“Is that the real reason or is this because of Hunter?” I probed and Madeline’s gaze snapped up at me.
“Hunter has nothing to do with this,” she muttered, but she couldn’t meet my eyes.
“You are lying,” I announced as I took a step towards her.
“Hunter is here right now because of me. If we leave, then he’ll have to come with us,” Madeline announced, and my palms balled to fists by my side.
“That kind of beats the purpose Maddy. Have you given any thought that he might be feeding the adorni with information?” I asked as I c****d my head to the side.
