Madeline’s pov I stifled as I took a spoonful of my chicken broth. I glared at Hunter from across the room, who glared right back at me. “You know this isn’t necessary, right?” I quirked an unimpressed brow at him. “Finish every last drop of that broth, and we’ll monitor your temperature all through the night,” he announced as he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the wall. I, begrudgingly, drank the rest of the soup and held out the bowl to Hunter when I was done.
