Elizabeth and Laura were having lunch at the restaurant when Laura spotted Cole sitting at a nearby table with a pretty young woman. She casually nudged Elizabeth and asked, "Is that Cole over there?"
Elizabeth followed Laura’s gaze, and the moment she saw Cole with the woman, a twinge of jealousy flickered through her. She immediately assumed the girl was his girlfriend.
"Hmm," Elizabeth muttered, trying to sound indifferent. "Guess he’s got himself a date."
Laura raised an eyebrow at her tone. "You know, if I didn’t know better, I’d say you were jealous," she said.
Elizabeth let out a short laugh. "Jealous? Hardly. I’m not even dating Cole. He’s just my brother’s colleague, and you know that."
Laura smirked. "Relax, I’m just teasing."
