MIGUEL'S MANSION Elizabeth stepped into Miguel’s room and found him lying on his back, his arm draped across his eyes. The room was dim, curtains half-drawn. Miguel raised his head sluggishly and groaned, “I was just about to sleep.” Elizabeth arched a brow. “Since when do you sleep at this hour?” Miguel dropped his head back with a sigh. “I’m tired. I just need to rest.” “That’s unlike you,” Elizabeth muttered, stepping closer. “You don’t get tired. Not like this.” “I’m human, Liz,” he mumbled. “Even I burn out sometimes.” "Woah! Finally! You realize you're not some robot," Elizabeth said. She walked over and reached down, placing a hand on his forehead, then his neck.
