Cole walked into Elizabeth’s office. He didn’t say a word, just sank into the visitor chair across from her desk and watched her intently as Elizabeth seemed too focused on whatever she was doing.
Elizabeth didn’t look up right away—she had already seen him come in from the corner of her eye. She focused on the file in front of her a moment longer, then spoke casually, still not meeting his gaze. “Did you forget the way to Miguel’s office?”
Cole chuckled, stretching his long legs out. “You really need to retire that line. You use it every time I show up. You know I'm not here for the general.”
