LAURA'S FAMILY HOUSE
Miguel paced back and forth outside Laura’s home, his heart was full of anxiety.
He had already faced Carlo's wrath, endured his punches, and accepted his words of contempt. Yet, it still wasn’t enough.
He had to speak to Laura again. He had to convince her, somehow, that he wasn’t the man she believed him to be that he could be responsible.
"Laura!" he called out, his voice was now hoarse due to the stress of the day. He paused and listened for response but only there was no response to his call.
"Laura, Just hear me... Ok, you don't have to agree to what I say immediately. All I'm asking is for your consideration," Miguel continued to speak, hoping that Laura could still hear him, and maybe have a change of heart.
