Miguel was in his office, reviewing some reports, when his secretary, Nora, buzzed in through the intercom.
"Sir, Lisa Moore is here to see you," Nora informed him.
Miguel glanced at the time. He hadn’t been expecting Lisa, but he figured she was probably here for an update on the ongoing situation. He pressed the intercom button. "Let her in."
A moment later, the door swung open, and Lisa stepped inside.
"Hello, Miguel," Lisa said.
She looked different—lighter, almost. It was a stark contrast to the last few days, where she had been visibly burdened by everything that had been happening.
"Hi, Lisa. Take a seat," Miguel said. He gestured toward the chair across from his desk.
