PRIDE Jess.  It starts with the memory of our first meeting. The cafe where Jess sacrifices her meal allowance to feed a man she just met.  The nervousness when Jess takes me to her ratty apartment and how thoughtful she was at her attempt to make me feel comfortable. The smiles and laughter come next. It’s beautiful and I let myself melt into it.  I howl in pain. It’s comes faster now. Electric shocks and searing burns.
